The Epiphone Les Paul Acoustic-Electric Concert Ukulele Outfit includes a beautiful Les Paul shaped ukulele and a sturdy Epiphone gig bag. This is a great package for someone who wants to add to their setup a ukulele with some classic rock attitude.
The Les Paul ukulele is made of mahogany with a flame maple veneer top. It has a concert-size body that's slightly larger and louder (with deeper tone) than a soprano ukulele. It accepts standard G, C, E, A tuning. The neck is also mahogany with a rosewood fretboard and a D-profile for smooth fingering.
The rosewood bridge houses an Epiphone passive piezo pickup, which is wired to a standard ¼" output jack for easy connection to an amp or mixer for live performance or recording.

I've played guitar for several decades, but this is my first uke. Sure, a "real" ukulele would be more traditional. But this one just looks great. I got the Vintage Sunburst, and the flame maple top is gorgeous. The finish is excellent for a $100 instrument. Acoustically, it's not as loud as a regular uke, but it still sounds good. Better strings would probably help. The tuners are solid, and it stays in tune well. Plug it in, and the sound jumps out. Whether through a PA or acoustic amp, the sound is very good.

I at first bought the Les Paul ukulele with the initial thought that Epiphone will do me proud and keep the Les Paul quality over instruments. Though it was easy on the eyes, looking spot on like a Les Paul, I was, however, severely disappointed once I had it. First off, the black nylon strings that come out of box are poor in quality, so I switched them out for some Kaluha Gold. It improved the sound quality and matched the look of the uke. Second, even with new strings, the uke sounded bad plugged in or acoustic. The two layers of wood dulled the sound heavily and gave the uke a wieght of almost three pounds. Unless you're looking for the novelty of it being a Les Paul, I reccomend getting a Luna Tattoo electric-acoustic for the same amount. The Les Paul, is really only good for showing off.

Had this little Les Paul a little over a week. Couldn't wait till the UPS man delivered. Excellent support. I'm a novice but having fun with it. Also bought the Line 6 spider 1V 15 watt amp, my son got one too. This is a quality instrument and people are really impressed because its a Les Paul. I did change the strings because everyone suggested it and they were right because the black ones that came with it sounded "tinny".
This is a great looking Uke. There was two reasons why I bought this Ukulele: 1- good sounding acoustically and when plugged into an amp. 2 - Sales Rep at Guitar Center in Lewisville Texas, Taylor Condrack. He was professional, knowledgable and having GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS. Taylor also sent me a follow up email several days after the sale to ensure that I received my UKE (the uke was not in stock - had to be shipped) and if I had any questions....I sent Taylor a question and he did answer it in a timely manner. WHAT A GREAT EXPERIENCE.
Looks great, plays great, sounds great, enough said
I loved this uke the moment it arrived. I have the cherry sunburst, and it is beautiful. When you play it acoustically, it is kinda quiet, so I have been strumming a little differently than you are supposed to to bring out more sound... But it is a great uke overall! Its a great price especially if you are just starting out!
We purchased this item as a gift. Our son couldn't be more happy. It is exactly what he was wanting and is very please with the quality and sound it puts out. Thank you.
I received this LP ukulele last week and have been extremely happy with it. Great quality and the finish is perfect. Very well packaged for shipping. I would recommend it to anyone who is considering buying a ukulele. Buying on line was great.
I recently purchased this ukulele online from guitar center, it got mixed reviews, but I think its great. do yourself a favor and get new strings asap, I recommend d'addario nylatech, d'addario pro arte, or aquilas. changing the strings made huge difference in the sound of this uke.The finish on this thing is beautiful, there were one or two small flaws but nothing too major or of serious concern. Its a decently made beautiful acoustic/electric ukulele at a great price...and it has strap buttons which is a plus if your prone to drop things.package doesn't include cabel or amplifier but was still a good deal.
It's a great ukulele for its price. It is bait heavier, but I think it gives the instrument a feel of substance. The plug in works really great and the neck size is perfect for my big hands. I would definitely recommend getting this if you new ukulele. This is my first time to p,ay one, but the transition from the guitar is super easy.
I bought this one after not finding another Uke which was sold out. I really liked the way it looked and felt plus one could plug it into an amp. It has two things which I don't care for, the weight and the strings. One I can live with and the other I will be changing. The weight issue it because it's carved from a solid chunk of wood so that makes it very average on non-plugged in sound. I have a Fender Mini amp and it sounds great out of that plus the amp has a built in tuner. The positive thing to consider about the construction is that it can take a lot of abuse and therefore a better choice for travel. But the real ace in the hole is the price, I've paid more for much less and overall i would do it again. I wish they had more color choises though!
I am retired and thought that I would like to learn to play the ukulele. After much study, I decided to purchase the Epiphone Les Paul Ukulele. The instrument is beautiful with excellent workmanship. It is a pleasure to look at. As a beginner, the sound is great. I have not yet tried an amp, but I am sure that the sound would elevate. I am well pleased with my purchase and highly recommend this product and Guitar Center.
