The epiphone 100 is a great guitar overall. The guitar could have some better upgrades on it but for the price you can't beat what you get. The bolt on neck plays well and the action is good. The pickups could leave something to be desired but once again for the money they are good. upgrading can be hard as the pickups are not the same size as the gibson brand of les pauls. The tone and sound quality is good enough to jam on its own though. This guitar is good enough to jam and perhaps with some new pickups could be the only guitar that you need.

i bought this guitar a year or so ago and i still love it. i was weary about buying this guitar but i did anyway. the paint job is awesome and its the lightweight super slim version. (if you have ever played a Gibson you will understand how great the weight of this one is.) it plays ok from the manufacturer. The stock pick-ups suck. i recommend changing them out with Seymour Duncans. Pearly gates in the bridge position. i have yet to decide what to put in the neck position. i also recommend changing the nut and the tuners. it does not hold the tune very well either, buy grovers. after some parts upgrades and a pro set-up your good to go for any genre. I play in a country band and i prefer this guitar over my American made fenders.

pretty cool

Comments about Epiphone Les Paul 100 Left-Handed Electric Guitar:

i played this guitar at guitar center and thought it was a really good guitar. it looks great, and has everything you could want in a epiphone les paul. you get the looks, the good price and that classic tin can sound. if you are a leftie who needs a good guitar but you don't like fender style, doon't have the money for a gibson or don't want to have ibanez because there mainly for metal music then you should pick yourself up one today

Decent Guitar

By mountaingoat

Comments about Epiphone Les Paul 100 Left-Handed Electric Guitar:

This is my first guitar and being left handed there weren't a lot of options. This is an excellent beginner guitar but I already looking into getting the Standard (they didn't have a Standard in the store when I went to purchase). Overall I'm happy learning on this guitar but look forward to trading up.

A Really Good Value!!!

By aka AWESOME

Comments about Epiphone Les Paul 100 Left-Handed Electric Guitar:

i don't really have a lefty but i have the right handed one and it is sweet. it is clear and has a large range of tones. the only things i have against it is the quality was somewhat in the middle on mine. it's probably not common but mine came with a few extra "screw holes" but it wasn't really noticeable. it is also not really upgradeable. i couldn't really find a lot of epiphone parts and i ended up buying gibson parts which didn't fit exactly but it turned out all right. so a great guitar overall.

Comments about Epiphone Les Paul 100 Left-Handed Electric Guitar:

When I first bought this guitar i thought to myself well this guitar isnt that great but just to learn how to play and move on. When i pluged this guitar in WOW nothing like i thought it would sound like. I felt like i was playing a 500 dollar guitar. I would recommend this to any lefty beginning to play guitar.

Great For Beginners

By Sawyer Sexx

Comments about Epiphone Les Paul 100 Left-Handed Electric Guitar:

Ive had this guitar for a year now and personally it was a great guitar for starting out. Its not super pricey and it still has good sound. The clean channel is not AMAZING but still is good. I love the way this guitar sounds in drop D but not so much in drop C. One downside is there is no spot for a whammy bar but that can always be solved with pedals, anyway if your looking for a good guitar for a beginner that isnt super pricey this is it. Just make sure to get a good amp.

Comments about Epiphone Les Paul 100 Left-Handed Electric Guitar:

i have owned this guitar for almost a year and it is my go to guitar and its reliable. I rip the neck out of my and i thought it was done. But I unscrewd the neck pushed the neck in and screwed it back together and the thing kept playing like it always did. If you want a good solid reliable guitar get this you wont be let down

Comments about Epiphone Les Paul 100 Left-Handed Electric Guitar:

The Epiphone Les Paul 100 is a great guitar. I have owned it for a year now and it has never let me down. I have never had a single problem with it. It's a very good guitar for the price. It really has all the looks of an epiphone, too. I'd highly recommend this for a beginner or anyone looking for another great guitar for a great price.

good

Comments about Epiphone Les Paul 100 Left-Handed Electric Guitar:

it is a medium good guitar, i really like i. I set it up for really low action, but it has strings buzzes on a few frets. it could do with better pickups but hey its cheap. it was well worth my money to get one. i tried out some of the more "expensive guitars and this one, once you set it up right it has much lower action and better intonation. i give it a 4.5
