Very impressive

Comments about Epiphone G-400 Metallic Blue Electric Guitar:

I have had this guitar for about a year now, and I have yet to find a sound I can't make on it. The playability is amazing. I really like the color, it just calls from across the room. epiphone continues to make fine quality entry level priced instruments and I would reccomend this guitar to anyone looking to spen over a grand, just to see what is offered at this price range. once again it is a wonderful, beautiful instrument and for the price, how can you possibly consider anything else?

Pretty Sweat!

Comments about Epiphone G-400 Metallic Blue Electric Guitar:

I love this guitar! I got this for an early Christmas present from some aunts, and this guitar is my favorite of my three guitars. It isn't as good as my Ibanez but it is still just fun to play. It sounds good for most rock styles like, (of course) AC/DC, Metallica, and i think it sounds good for The fall of troy. The only thing is that it is a little bit top heavy, and i plan on getting new pickups for it. Probably some Seymour Duncan's or some other type. But other wise this guitar is great. Its affordable and worth every penny!

Metallic Blue Special Edition SG 400

By Blitzkrieg

Comments about Epiphone G-400 Metallic Blue Electric Guitar:

This is my second Epiphone with the first being an Epiphone Dot ES-335. I was impressed with the Dot in both quality and PRICE and wanted another in my collection. Both Epiphones are great-looking guitars with a beautiful finish and true to the 'original' style of the Gibsons for only a fraction of the price. I have seen 'real' Gibsons for $2,000 and have seen (or heard) little difference. The Epiphone series is a great way to get a very good guitar. What attracted me to this SG was the blue finish. The picture does not do it justice. The paint is a very flecky metallic and the blue is lighter--a gorgeous guitar. On a clean amp setting, the SG 400 has a very crunchy bite and lots of volume. If you do not use effects, you get good sustain with a strong sound. Turn on a fuzz or throw in an effect, and the sound gets BIG. You can't beat these guitars for the price. Fit, finish, features, quality and sound are all there. I have also found the neck to be much faster than Fenders without having to work as hard. The only negative is what others have said about weight. The neck is a little heavy compared to the body--the center of gravity is not balanced. This is NOT a problem when you sit. Be aware of it if you stand. Other than that--a GREAT guitar. If you don't mind that it doesn't say Gibson on the headstock, go for it.
