I got this guitar a few days ago, and it's great. Ultra light body. I mean, wow, it's so light it's crazy. The action is awesome too. Super low action. The hard-ware on the guitar looks great, and the inlays look awesome too. The worn black adds a nice touch to it too. Humbuckers are great. I was playing on my amp, clean, and it was still distorted. This Guitar isn't for anything but metal, and other heavy genre's in my opinion. Good volume, and great tone. And not to mention it has a killswitch. I had no clue about that until I bought it. Overall, this guitar is excellent for any novices, and any beginners. It can also take a beating. I've dropped it I don't know how many times, and not a single scratch or dent. I absolutely love this Guiar. And for the price.. it's a steal.

I just recently purchased this guitar new and no regrets. This little wonder sounds great, Epiphone did a nice job with this one. It has great tone, a super smooth body, a great neck with plenty of finger room for your highs and cool novelty killpot switch. I have only tuned this thing once since purchase even with some of the abuse i've administered. The only cons some may find is the body is a little small and the edges are rounded so if your going to lap this guitar it may slip out from under you. This guitar is no show stopper but its a blast to play.
I had played around on my dad's guitar for around five years when I was younger and I grew an interest in guitar ever since. I wanted a guitar of my own, so I looked for guitars in my price range on the GC website. This struck my fancy a lot. Looks: great. Price: great. A week later I went to GC and played some guitars. This was by far my favorite. Even playing my friend's Fender strat isn't as satisfying as this thing. Great beginning guitar. I've been playing with this thing for almost a year and it's held up through travel restringing and surgery on the pickups.
It doesn't hold up well. The guitar sounds great, right out of the box. It was tuned (Even after hiding in the closet for a few weeks until Christmas) almost perfectly. It's also very small, which was not good for me, seeing as I'm a little bit on the bigger side, and like wide necks. But, it looks fantastic. The paint is transparent, so you can see the wood underneath, which looks gorgeous. Now for complaints. The electronics sound nice, but fall apart quickly. I would strongly recommend replacing the pickups, as soon as possible, for integrity purposes. The tuning pegs also fell apart fairly quickly. Maybe mine was a fluke, but it happens. Overall, would recommend to a friend.
Getting back into playing after several years and needed a decent $200 or less guitar till i saved up for a nice one, saw this hanging on the wall and grabbed it because the small explorer body looks cool and is comfortable (for me)sitting down. I am most impressed with the neck and action - not every guitar is identical but im still blown away at how low and clean the action is on mine, and the neck shape is smooth and comfortable and it's easy to run all over the fretboard. I changed the pickups to something a little more shredable and this thing smokes, i bought it as a holdover for something better ind its quickly become one of my favorite guitars to sit and play for hours.
i got this from my girlfriend on my birthday a few days ago. i didnt think i was going to like it at first. but after really getting to first play it (it was a suprise) i liked it, well loved it. it may be small and slip off of my lap while playing (need strap locks to share my strap with other guitar). anyway i also have a les paul special 2 (epiphone of course) and its about the same. this guitar has paralellogram inlays a kill switch, which is interesting, and the shape is a smallish explorer. when playing watch out for the volume know, and when using the killswitch the tone knob may turn. all in all this is a 4.5/5 guitar. i would recomend this for someone whos on a budget.
This is a good guitar for just really getting into playing. I bought this back in December and it was really fun to play. The strings should be replaced after a while because i'm finding their not too reliable. After 3 weeks, my G string broke...overall a nice guitar but if you have the money look into some higher priced guitars.
Awesome look, really great price for a beginner guitar or for fun. Also including the ceramic wires, and 8 magnets makes this a steal. The GT KillPot is a great idea, seen on other quitars, but to use it, really nice.
Was looking for an inexpensive guitar to travel with and stubbled upon this at my local Guitar Center. I fell in love with it. It has a great sound (for the price, but will change out the pickups) and great tone. The guitar is really light, which makes it great to travel with but not so great when playing standing up - because the body is so light the neck tends to dip. Also, when strumming I sometimes come in contact with the volume control knob (accidently decreasing volume) though not a big deal since I just play for fun. Other than that, I love this guitar and I love playing it. The neck is fast and action is good (after I lowered it a little), tone is pretty darn good and so is the sustain. Turned out to be an awesome travel guitar.
This is a surprise but then maybe not as epiphone has no 'cheap'guitars even if their price is low. The finish is so smooth as the back of the neck is black also but what a neck 25.5" scale. Found it easy to sit with really and am 5.11...What a nice finish and no fret buzz at all... will change out the strings, A grade 'A' guitar easily on low price because of where it is made not low quality. Love it
Its super light weight and is great to play fast riffs on the only problem i found with it is that it looks almost like a little kids guitar because it so small but its still a great guitar for the money.
