This case is a perfect fit for the round shoulder AJ models. The description of the case isn't very clear on what Epiphone guitars it will fit, other than the fact that it just states "EDREAD Dreadnought Case". The AJ models have a rounded shoulder, as opposed to the dreadnoughts which have square shoulders. Without being able to fit test it, I wasn't sure if my AJ-500R would fit loosely in the case and move around in there. But when the case arrived, I set my guitar in there and it fit like a glove. So if anyone else out there is wondering if their round shoulder Epiphone will fit snugly in this case, rest assured it will!!!

Purchased the case to house my new Epiphone Hummingbird Pro. The guitar fits the case nicely. However, the first case I received in an open box was damaged and had very poor quality. The covering was not fastened in the radiuses of the case and the binding was not glued down next the cases handle. Contact Customer service for a return authorization. Customer Service was very helpful and I sent the case back the following day. The Case arrived at the warehouse and it took three calls and 10 working days for the warehouse to inspect the damage and poor quality before a replacement could be sent. The follow up calls to Customer Service did not solve the issue until the third call. I rate overall service very poor, as I kept getting excuses that they could not send a replacement until the warehouse inspects the case, although it was received on a Monday morning.
The replacement case arrived and it's quality is average. One of the latches is extremely hard to open due to what appears to be miss alignment of the lid to the body latch. I've decided to keep the case, as its not worth my time and a three week wait to receive a replacement.

Comments about Epiphone EDREAD Dreadnought Hardshell Case:

This case was recommended to me by Guitar Center to fit the Epiphone Hummingbird Pro. The guitar fits; but loosely. All my other guitar's (Fender Strat, Gibson Gospel, Epiphone Les paul and my Gibson Les Paul) and cases all fit nicely snug; like a glove, But this one is a Real Disappointment as a Fit. Now begins the search for a case that fits. Now I see why their sales people were pushing real hard to sell me a Gig bag which was half the cost of the hard case. This case is real nice looking; so I'll keep it, But now I have to buy Guitar to stick in it, LOL I just can Recommend this case for the Epiphone Hummingbird Pro. Who know's; Maybe my next Guitar will fit in this case; I'm looking at the Gibson Hummingbird.

Comments about Epiphone EDREAD Dreadnought Hardshell Case:

I have had many acoustic guitars over the years, my oldest is a 1942 Martin. I have been playing for over 40 years so I would say I am qualified to give an honest review. Perhaps someone is looking for actual customer reviews so I hope this helps you if you are looking to purchase this item. I bought mine directly from the GC website sight unseen and couldn't be happier with the value for what I paid and the quality of the product I received.
First off It fits my Epiphone DR500MCE perfectly. It is well made. The hardshell exterior will handle the typical loading in and out of vehicles without damaging your guitar. I would not use it as a flight case as this is not the intent of this case. The material used to cover the exterior is a good grade of a tolex type of material and was well tailored. The 4 latches that close the case top has a good lock and are of excellent grade and very "beefy". The inside has a very nice plush lining. There is a nice cutout for the electronics of the DR500 to fit into. The storage under where the neck rests is also spacious enough to hold most essential like a cable or two, capo, DI box etc and is also sturdy. I liked the brown trim that was added in, it makes for a nice vintage look that matches up to the vintage finish I selected on my guitar.
I have read a couple of negative reviews about the exterior tolex but I have to say I found mine to be excellent and have no issues at all. I am EXTREMELY satisfied and would recommend this product to anyone looking for a case for their Epiphone dreadnaught.

Comments about Epiphone EDREAD Dreadnought Hardshell Case:

Very happy with this purchase. I needed to find a case for my Epiphone PR-150, which I had also purchased at GC a few weeks prior. I couldn't pin down which would be best, as there is little info available for that on the web, but since the 150 is a Dreadnought and in the same style as the DR-100, I decided to give this a try. I have my eye on one a future purchase that would fit it anyway. Luckily for me, while perusing the GC Website, the case dropped in price to make it totally justifiable, and I ordered right away.

I knew when I bought my new guitar that I wanted a hard case, and I almost went for cheaper options until my wife looked over some of the ones I was considering and suggested this one looked best. And of course, she was write. It's a very presentable box that is almost nicer than the guitar itself. Nice looking and adds a great presence to the room. Fits the guitar like a glove - and will be perfect for my future purchase - or I may just have to get another. Definitely worth the price. For someone who spent his lifetime toting a beat up, ratty old guitar case or (eventually) nylon gig bags, this one is luxurious.

Only drawback for me is the size and weight. This is one hefty case - which is good because it is sturdy and protective. But it is not something I would see myself lugging about the city. Definitely strong enough protection for storage and transportation. Still, that said, I would definitely order another one to protect a future purchase.

Comments about Epiphone EDREAD Dreadnought Hardshell Case:

I bought this case for my Masterbilt DR-500 MCE, which fits perfectly. The internal design has cutouts for the pre-amp controls and end-pin/jack. I like the vintage look, and quite expected that the case would be easily scuffed. I saw that as just adding to the look. However, Epiphone completely failed with the cladding material. It doesn't scuff, it rips and shreds. The case has not left my bedroom, but somehow has several rips just from contact with the bedstand. The seam along the side where the cladding is not stitched has lifted and is lifting at the waist, forming a wide, shallow bubble. There have not been temperature or humidity fluctuations. In what is otherwise a nice case, the cladding is tissue thin and poorly glued. This is not an inexpensive case, and I would guess this small improvement in construction couldn't cost the manufacturer as much as a dollar. At the price charged, the glaringly inferior material and construction of the outside of the case is inexcusable. If it looks so damage never having left my bedroom, I can not imagine it holding up traveling to gigs.
