I bought the bass players pack because I wanted to see if I could play bass while teaching my son guitar. I did not want to sink a lot of money into a whole setup. I got every thing in one package. The sound is great. The bass is not to heavy, or gaint like some are. The tuner that came with it does guitar and bass, This i like alot. The amp is also nice for pratice. A great price for everything in one package.

I bought this bass about a two years ago as my first bass. It was great for the first one, it had everything a begninner needs, but people aren't beginners for long. Once I got my new bass (epiphone thunderbird) I started using this as my practice bass but now two years later it has really lost a lot of the great sound it had when I first got it.

A Beautiful Bass with a Beautiful Sound

By Hopscotch the Brave

from Corpus Christi, TX

This bass has all the warm tone you need to get the feel you want. I have been playing this bass for a while (I got it a couple years ago because I wanted to learn the bass at a bargain). If you want a bass, get this one. The practice amp it comes with is not very good, I would recommend getting a bigger one that can fit all this bass's big sound.

Not Very Good

By jack Buckelew

from pace fl

We are not impressed. The cables, dvd, and picks were not in the original shipment. We had to wait an extra 7 days for them. When they finally got here, my son broke a string while following the instructions on the DVD for tuning the guitar. I would not recommend this product at all.

Excellent Bass

By Tim

from Singapore.

superb bass. excellent sound as the huge humbucker delivers a delicious juicy bassy sound.also it has a superb cherry finish.but a few downpoints though the amp is kinda junky when you're not touching the bass as it gives out a very irritating and piercing sound. also its difficult to reach the 19th and 20th fret. cos when i play for whom the bell tolls and a couple of other bass riffs, it slightly affects my playing. also the bag that comes with it sucks big time, spoils super easy. but all in all this is a really good bass i would recommend it to anyone who likes a SG shape and a delicious sound for a small price.

a begginer bass

By Joe Smith

from manhatten, NY

This is a great bass. It's for begginners, but you dont stay a beginner for very long. The amp is not very loud and you will want a new one in a year or two. I've been playing this bass for four years now and I never had a problem with it. This year I will need a new one because it's neck is warped and is damaged. You get what you pay for and I suggest this bass to a BEGINNER.

Joy to the World!

By LVSS

from NY

This is an extremely good bass guitar. It was my first and it's a great set. It comes with a couple picks, a gigbag, a small amp and a really good tuner. The tuner does guitar AND bass guitar and you can chose the note you want to tune the guitar to so it's good if you want to put your guitar in Drop D or put everything half a step down, I don't know. Whatever. Anyways, this is just a nice looking bass (I got the Cherry Red) and I love it.

I love this bass

By Riley

from Clarence, New York

i have had this bass for about 1 year since i wanted to learn, and id say compared to some other basses i've seen, this is a great deal. anyone looking to learn should pick up this value pack. the only thing i might recommend is to get a better amp. i am currently using my brother's old guitar amp, which works great.

nice bass

By Uchiha Sasuke

from Konoha

I've had this bass for almost a year now and it has performed very well. The short scale neck is great and very easy to play. The only problem is that its hard to slap because of how close the strings are and the placement of the pickup. This bass has great tone, but it sounds better if you play it with your fingers. This kit has everything you need to get started. I recommend getting a better amp though, because the one that comes in the kit can get crackly and buzzy when turned up too high. This is a great package for beginners and I would recommend it to anyone just starting out on bass.

kool bass

By rocker

from california

This bass has a BEAUTIFUL finish, awesome quality sound, and its fun to play. the video is basicly useless though... the amp is a good guality considering its size and still makes a great sound. This bass is TOTALLY worth the money. especally for a 12-15 yr. old. Again it has a great sound.

Very pleased

By Bassplayer09

from Undisclosed

Although I didn't get in on this kick butt offer. I can tell you that the bass itself is awesome. I've only been playing bass for only 2 months but from my experience it is a great guitar with good sound. It has the classic SG look, plus its small enough where you don't have to be reaching all over the place. It needs to be tuned regularly if played and I wish it had more functions. All in all its a great guitar. Its an Epiphone, quality comes with the name:)
