The DR-212 is a true 12-string acoustic guitar with the big sound and fine engineering you expect from Epiphone. The DR-212 is not just a dreadnought with 6 extra strings. We designed the DR-212 to take the stress of extra strings and not just support the Spruce top but provide the proper bracing so what you hear is a balanced, cutting, and attention-getting tone. The 12-string dreadnought has often been thought of as the classic-go to guitar for blues, folk, rock, country, and everything in-between.

Epiphone DR-212

from Florence. Colorado

I have played for 20 plus years, and for the price, this is the nicest entry level price 12 string. I plan on putting a pickup in this guitar. Well worth the money.

Great First 12 String

By Clyde

from Marrero, Louisiana

Hey All: I purchased mine from the store in New Orleans and got a great deal on it. I had it professionally set up at the store and had a MiSi Pickup installed in it, and let me tell you that pickup really brings out the beautiful sound that this instrument makes. It sounds like a choir of angels singing in harmony to me. The sales associate was very helpful and knowledgeable of all the guitars in the store. My hats off to all of Guitar Centers Sales Associates.

All right you 12 string lovers, I recently bought one of these DR 212's. I was a little skeptical about buying a guitar without being able to put my hands on it first. But I went ahead and ordered one and believe me I am more than satisfied with this guitar. For the price, you can't go wrong. Right out of the box this guitar was ready to play with a tuning job. Strings are close the fret board which was a concern before I got my hands on it. I had a 12 string years ago and you just can't get that sound out of your head. This guitar is beautiful and sounds great. I would highly recommend this guitar to any one who is looking for an economical 12 string. I would also like to thank Davy for his help with my order, he answered my questions honestly and made a suggestion on an other guitar that I purchased at the same time.

As a song writer singer, I needed the big sound of the 12 string. This guitar has surpassed my expectations. Out of the box it was great, I just tweaked the rod a little tuned and played. I have added a LR Baggs pick-up and it gets a great sound through my rig. I can't say enough about my experience with Guitar Center for all their help and quick delivery. THANKS

Buy it now!!!!

By Lester Hochler

from New York, NY

Don't waste any more time. If you want a 12 string buy this now before they discontinue it or raise the price. But even if they do raise the price (within reason) it will still be worth it . Amazing guitar for $169.

Good deal for the price

This guitar sounds great for the price. However it needs the strings replaced. But aside from that a great buy!

Great Guitar For The Money

By Robert Bush

from Lexington SC

Good action, great sound, this guitar plays better than others that cost much more. Want to get into 12 string playing then this is the guitar for you, after the strings stretched, the guitar stays in tune for days, very nice looking, great tuning keys and great sound, I have ordered ultra light strings to make it even easier to fret.

Setup and Strings

By Bruce Wentworth

from Dubuque, I

This 12 string is a good value, nice sounding, and decently made guitar. Do yourself a favor and take it to the local music shop and let them do a setup, being sure to tell them your playing style: Are you a beater, strummer, fingerpicker? A reputable shop should look at the nut, neck, saddle, and put a new set of light strings. For the $40 you spend, you'll be much happier with your new toy!

An awesome instrument

By Timothy Meyer

from Chippewa Falls WI

After not playing much for several years, I was looking for an acoustic guitar, preferably 12 string, without spending a lot of money. When I saw the DR-212, it really seemed to good to be true. But, I have owned Epis before, including a Les Paul goldtop and a Sheraton II. My previous experience, plus the amazing price and the customer reviews, convinced me to place the order (this is the first guitar I have ever purchased without playing it first). The guitar is awesome. I took it out of the case, tuned it up, & have had trouble putting it down ever since. The setup is perfect, the tone is fantastic, the workmanship excellent. This is my second 12 string acoustic- the first cost almost three times as much, and nowhere near as good. Epiphone hit a home run with this guitar. The Musicians Gear Deluxe Dreadnought case is a perfect fit for this instrument as well.
