I'm 56 years old and after playing in bands for over 35 years, I got tired of dealing with drama and egos and decided this year to just play Acoustic . I own 2 Fenders, a Mitchell , and now this very, under rated beauty . I'll be very honest here and that is, I used to think that this model was junk but now, the newer models that Epiphone is knocking out of the park from their factory in China , are really well made guitars . I have a Vintage Sunburst model that I got just a couple of days ago and I am totally amazed at both the build quality, and sound of this instrument . The only things that I did upon receiving it were to adjust the truss rod a bit , clean the fretboard with some Lemon Oil, and put on a set of Elixirs. This is a player which has a very nice, bright, tone to it, which you can use for sing a longs, trips to the beach, cookouts, etc. Plus the tuners that are now on it, are die cast thus allowing tuning stability which is something that the older models lacked IMO. This is one heck of a great bargain for either a beginner or the musician on a budget. I highly recommend this guitar !!!!

Quality Acoustic for first time owner. I've owned nothing but nylon and electric guitars up until this purchase. Although I've been playing 15+ years and can afford a Martin I thought it was more practical to start with a beginner steel string. Also knowing that I can take this camping and not worry about a case or wear & tear is a positive quality for me, since a future purchase will remain in the case when not played.

Ordered the guitar on a friday, received it on a tuesday. Needed new strings-I chose Martin. The Neck needed adjusting but I didn't want to take it in for adjusting, so based off a youtube tutorial I loosened the trust rod myself and it fixed the dead notes on the 3rd and 10th fret in a matter of 30 minutes. I also was brave enough to peel off the cheap black pickboard, the sunburst design looks a bit classier now. This guitar is perfect for learning new songs and practicing covers & originals. A fun guitar but nothing more.

Comments about Epiphone DR-100 Acoustic Guitar:

Rather than hassle with carrying a guitar across country with me, I pre-ordered one to pick up at my destination city. Knowing Epiphone to have a great reputation, I selected this economical model, and it was waiting for me at one of the Los Angeles Guitar Centers in excellent condition. As usual, I restrung it with my favorite strings, touched up the nut slots and saddle height just a tad, and was happily playing within an hour of pickup. I left it at a relative's house to be there on my next visit. Thanks Guitar Center!

Comments about Epiphone DR-100 Acoustic Guitar:

I wanted an acoustic guitar and my father accidentally bought me a twelve string. Of course I couldn't play a twelve string guitar so we went to the store and I picked out this guitar. at first I loved the look. It was love at first sight. Then I played it and loved the sound. I've had it for about a year now and still love everything about it. It's a great beginner to intermediate guitar!

Comments about Epiphone DR-100 Acoustic Guitar:

The guitar is nothing but a toy.
The sound has no bass response or projection. Advertising states that the guitar cuts through when playing with other guitars, but without sustain, the tinny tone can't compare to a Washburn at similar cost.

Great guitar and the price is fantastic. Love the sound travel distance. This is really a 5 star guitar...I only gave it a 4 star because of my short fingers. I really needed a thin line neck because I'm a beginner, but hey I'm not trading in my first guitar...these little fingers of mine will just have to learn (readjust) because this is a FANTASTIC guitar. Ha-ha, I may just have to invent finger extensions. I promise you will love this guitar.
