Pairs the Valve Junior Head with a matching cab for distinct vintage style and undeniably powerful tube tone.

This Epiphone half-stack includes the Valve Junior Head and Valve Jr. Extension Cab.

Part of Epiphone's Valve series of tube guitar amps, the Valve Junior Head is a straight-forward, single-ended Class A tube amp. This head version of the Epiphone Valve Junior tube guitar amp includes features not found in its combo cousin. It has DC filaments for both the preamp and power sections to reduce unwanted filament hum. It also has 4, 8, and 16 ohm speaker outputs so you can drive any kind of guitar speaker, from a single 8" box to a 4x12" cab. Simple to operate, it delivers fabulous tube tone from singing to searing with a simple twist of the volume knob. Like the combo version, the Epi Valve Junior Amplifier Head delivers 5W power with one 12AX7 tube in the preamp and an EL84 in the power amp. Sports stylish vintage-style red and black vinyl covering with white piping and a cream front panel.

Featuring birch plywood construction, superior audio design, and cool retro looks, the Epiphone Valve Junior Extension Cab is the perfect match for Epiphone's Valve Junior Head. The speaker cabinet is equipped with a custom designed, 16 ohm, 12" Eminence Lady Luck Speaker rated for 70 watts RMS.

Epiphone Valve Junior Half Stack Features:

  • Valve Junior Head
  • 5W power
  • Single-ended Class A tube circuit
  • 12AX7 preamp tube
  • EL84 power amp tube
  • Tubes have DC filaments for reduced noise
  • Single chicken-head volume knob
  • 4, 8, 16 ohm outputs for speaker flexibility

5 WATTS?

I am hear to sing the praises of the epiphone valve junior half stack. This little amp sounds better than any amp I have ever owned.I have been playing for 17 years and this is the first amp that lets your guitar sound like your guitar, not the amp with a guitar ran through it.With only 5 watts (but 5 class A watts) this thig is a mammoth. The extension cab sounds great too.Don't pass these up because of the low wattage you'll get plenty of sound.Buy one now before epiphone realizes what they are doing and decides to charge what they really should be.

I Love MY Valve Jr. Head & Cab

Well it is hard to believe but for the money it is amazing the kind of tone you can get from this head & cab., I have been playing guitar for over 20 years and currently play in a blues band and this amp is perfect, regardless of price, I have owned them all over the years and I currently own amp's I have paid 6 times over the price for and the Valve Jr. sounds as good if not better than them and without being to loud. I am planning a few mod's to the head and I think my new live rig will be 2 of the Valve Jr. Heads & 2 cab's miked through the PA, great tone & harmonics, light weight, easy to move, and did I say great tone. This amp just rocks without being to loud, I love it.
