What a great little tube amp. Don't even use effects at first. Just plug in and play with the volume settings. You'll be amazed at the different tones to get. Want crunchy? Turn it up then back off the volume on your guitar. Want clean, do the opposite. I don't know where you can get a real tube amp for this price. Anybody want to buy my old solid state practice amp? I'm never gonna play it again.

  • Cheap for a reason...

As reviewed by RochesterLoner on 11/2/2006

I must say that I think these amps sound awful. I wouldn't buy one for half the price. They sound like they have pillows inside of them ,and they are noisey, to boot. There's no sparkle, and no nice tube overdrive, just harshness. Ick. You can get a solid state Vox Pathfinder with reverb and trem for $20 less, and it will sound three times more like what a decent tube amp should sound like.

  • Hot little package

As reviewed by Jiminy Cricket on 7/31/2006

Look, it's a real live class A tube amp for under $150. Give me a break! You can mod it, you can replace the speaker, you can paint the mother pink - and it STILL would cost less than 1/3 of the "other" 5-watt, one-knob, class A tube amp out there! Better yet, leave it box-stock and you've got it for one FIFTH of the cost! As for sound, this thing will surprise the shitzu out of you. Warm, tuby crunch, and plenty of volume. What are you, crazy? Get it before Epi wakes up.
