Amazing sound

This bass was the first bass i bought after i made the switch from guitar to bass and it allowed me to use the pick that i had grown very attatched to using. The down side to that is you cant really use the classic finger picking style as well. But you cant beat the full hollow body sound. There is just something about this classic bass that will make you fall in love with it!

best bass for the buck!

Wow! I have been playing double bass for six years, and bass guitar for three, and may I say, that this bass is the best of both worlds! It has two, sweet humbuckers, that with a little judicial use of messing with your tone, can go from a warm, smooth, low-end groove, to crystalline highs for a funky snap! Because of it's semi-hollow construction, it is very light, and good to go for hours of playing; this style of build also adds that rich, acoustic bass flavor to your sound! The neck is very fast, with a very nice, thin profile so jumping from note-to-note just got that much easier! And because of the short scale, you can really fly on this bass with massive octave working. The finish is beautiful and I could not be happier. Buy one today, it's worth every penny and more!

Flame top

Beautiful. This is a gorgeous bass when you see it in real life, I've owned mine for a couple years now, but on the way to a gig, it busted in an accident, so I needed a replacement bass. What did I do? Bought the new version! The action was perfect right out of the box, the tuner heads were nice and tight. The factory strings even sounded nice, they were very bright (which is not my favorite) but they sounded so clear and articulate! I might get some flatwounds later, just to see if they'd do it justice. The tonal control is amazing, this thing has so many voices, I never found them all on my old one, but maybe this time I will! Beautiful bass, a steal of a price, buy one today!

Sir Paul Should play on this!!!

Don't break your bank looking for the real thing. They cost a lot more for the same quality. I was amazized by the heavy sound a cheap instrument could deliver. I own a gibson and a fender and amazingly I find myself taking this more and more to the gigs. It sounds great for the money and they look amazing on stage and there's always someone to say "wow... what a beautiful instrument". There will be a broader range of sound on different basses out there... but for price so right as this one.
