  • Mandobird

As reviewed by Rick Van Patten on 6/10/2011

Needed to adjust neck angle, bridge intonation and height, file nut, pickup, lube volume control, file 1 bad fret, wewww! After that it's great player with still a weak first string. (It is a lot heavier than I expected)

  • Epiphone mandobird VIII

As reviewed by Mole on 10/24/2006

Was give to me for set-up (intonation, new nut, etc.) Was impressed so much I want one now. Played great and sounded just as good (used Fender amp m80 chorus)Needed to relocate bridge just a little. The only thing I didn't like was it ball-end strings.

  • Unplayable.

As reviewed by Tim on 2/4/2008

I saw this thing and had to have it despite other reviews I read. Well the other reviews were right. The Mandobird 8 was not playable at all on the first fret. I had to push down so harsd on the strings at second and third frets it put the intonation out. Perhaps with some work it would have been a nice piece. I did not expect much for the money but I do expect it to be tunable and playable.
