Solid spruce carved top, precision fretwork, and stunning cosmetics.

That high and lonesome tone comes best from a select spruce top. Mahogany back and sides add warmth and projection, while gorgeous finishes, full body, fretboard, and f-hole binding, plus gleaming gold hardware impart visual appeal. Mahogany neck with rosewood fretboard. 14" scale.

Good Introductory Instrument

I recently started playing mandolin and I have been very satisfied with the purchase of this one. I had heard rumors that A-style mandolins do not produce the volume that F-style ones produce, but that rumor was quickly dispelled when I played this instrument in the store. The volume is quite high, and it's a solidly produced mandolin. The frets nearest the bridge are a little rattly, but other than that, it's a good mandolin to get started on.

Fell apart after a month

I bought an inexpensive instrument to have in my office at work. The instrument fell apart after six weeks. I noticed the height of the strings was getting a little high, and the next day the neck had broken in half. As an instrument repair technician I decided to just throw it away and buy something decent.

Great tone!!

I Play this thing with two guitars, a violin, and a bass and this thing rings through it all. Super cool look too. a little buzz when played on frets next to the nut that went away with a few slight adjustments.

Epiphone mm-30 FALLS APART

Don't buy this! We got one for our son for Christmas. At first, it was okay but after one month, it is coming apart! They won't take it back since it's past 30 days and our local guitar repair says it is defective and can't be repaired.

SOLID SOUND

Yep' as you see the neck and bridge may need a bit of adjustment but so did my $3900.00 Weber. The Epiphone Mandolin has come to be a trusted friend it sounds great. I learned on it and still bring it to gigs as a backup for someone who wants to sit in. I instantly removed the pickguard and it has a beautiful sunburst finish and the a body makes it cut through and stand out
