Epiphone Limited Edition Les Paul Traditional PRO Electric Guitar (423561)
Availability:

Les Paul tradition combined with modern professional features.

Epiphone's history and association with Les Paul dates way back to the days when Les, working at the Epiphone factory on 14th St. in New York, created the world's first electric guitar. Over the years, Les continued to work closely with Epiphone by reviewing new product ideas and offering suggestions. The Epiphone Les Paul Traditional Pro electric guitar combines the best of Les Paul's original design with new features that set this Epiphone guitar apart.

Professional Electronics.
The Les Paul Traditional Pro uses Epiphone's 4-wire, nickel/silver base humbuckers with newly tooled, USA-style bobbins. In the neck position is the Alnico Classic Pro humbucker with Alnico-II warm, thick vintage tone and open zebra coils. It's uniquely paired with Epiphone's ProBucker-3 humbucker. An inspired by version of Gibson's BurstBucker-3, the Les Paul guitar features unevenly wound coils and Alnico-II magnets that replicate that "Patent Applied for" airy tone. You'll love the way they sound! To top it all off, both volume controls feature push/pull potentiometers allowing you to coil-split each pickup for single-coil sounds. Combined with the 3-way toggle, you get 6 unique sounds from one great Les Paul guitar.

Tone Woods with Great Feel!
The Epiphone Les Paul Traditional Pro guitar has a solid mahogany back with a carved top and a solid mahogany neck that's hand-fitted and glued into the body for excellent neck-to-body contact and acting almost like one continuous piece of wood. The guitar neck features a SlimTaperâ„¢ D profile with a smooth and fast "worn" type finish on the back of the neck and body.

Loaded with premium add-ons!
Other features on the Epiphone Les Paul included quality Grover tuners, a traditional cream-colored pickguard, LockTone Tune-O-Matic bridge/stopbar, and Epiphone's own StrapLocks. Like every Epiphone, the electric guitar features their Limited Lifetime warranty backed by world famous 24/7/365 day Gibson Customer Service.

  • Stunning!!!

As reviewed by Joshua Davis on 7/19/2011

I have been looking to upgrade guitars and went into Guitar Center for 3 days straight, spending about 3 hours a day just playing guitars. I told myself not to touch a les paul unless it was gold top, but after playing the 1956 gold top reissue, i decided to see the difference. This guitar has Gibson like tone, the neck isn't too skinny, or too thick, and it stays in tune fantastically! Definitely worth every penny, and im surprised this isn't priced higher! Definitely get yours before they are gone! Absolutely love this guitar

  • My first electric

Well, I got mine yesterday! First impression is that this is one gorgeous guitar (Ebony). Looking a little harder today without the glazed, new guitar eyes, I found multiple spots on the back and neck that didn't receive paint, they are in the grain of the wood but noticeable. Used a marker to cover them, now there are shiny dots all over the back. Does not in any way affect the playability of the guitar. A small detail that impressed me; there is a plastic film covering the pickguard, when I removed it I was impressed that the screws were not just screwed through it. Meaning, there were no little bits of torn film sticking up from around the screws. The strap locks are ok, they have very sharp edges and could easily scratch the guitar. I will not be using them because, sad to say, I don't always pay attention like I should and I couldn't bear the thought of scarring the face of the guitar. I realized that the pots rise and lower when you turn the knob! I don't think this is normal and it happens on all four pots. And one of the knobs is more oval than round. The setup is perfect right out of the box from Epiphone, intonation and action are perfect. The weight of the guitar... Let me say this, I had the guitar shipped to me in Saudi Arabia and when I picked up the box at the APO post office I was really upset. The box was so light that I thought I was a victim of the customs regulations or something about shipping instruments into Saudi Arabia. Well, got the box to my room and inside it was an Epiphone box, and inside that one was my gorgeously shiny black Les Paul Traditional Pro! It's only a tiny bit heavier than my friends Strat. All in all, it was a good deal for me to get this guitar sight unseen as an internet purchase. Thanks for reading my comment.

  • Outstanding!

As reviewed by Randal Gatewood on 12/29/2012

When I bought this guitar (in Ebony) I was so impressed that I purchased another one in Heritage to keep at another location. It?s been a year now and I still love my Les Paul guitars. I have had the opportunity to play the Gibson equivalent? I?ll take this Epiphone any day. You can?t beat the price and comparable construction. Setup on these guitars was no different than setting a guitar that cost 4 times more. I also found on the Gibson forum site that these particular guitars are made at a factory this is actually equipped with Gibson tooling. The only down side for me was that the wood on the fret board could have been sanded much smoother but with a little time and patience I was able to polish out the fret board better most high dollar guitars come with. Another great feature (not listed) is that these guitars have a double action truss rod! With this guitar you won?t be sorry. Setup - plays great. Stays in tune (using Power Wound S.I.T strings). Loaded with features. Overall quality 4.9 stars out of 5. What more could you ask for in a Les Paul?
