  • Awesome.

As reviewed by Pat on 1/18/2011

I bought this guitar 3 months ago, it is amazing. The finish on the wine red is mind blowing, and the inlays are beautiful. The sound is great clean or under tons of distortion, because the pickups are marvelous. It also holds tunings for a really long time, even in drop tunings. (drop c, b, etc..) For the price, i doubt any other guitar can beat this one.

  • No More Fenders For Me

As reviewed by Nick B. on 11/22/2010

I played a 2003 American Deluxe Fender Fat Stratocaster for five years and then I was forced to sell it. I wanted to buy an LP style guitar this time around without dropping $1-2K on a Gibson. After reading a few reviews I purchased this bodacious Epiphone Limited Edition Les Paul Studio in Alpine White. What a great guitar. After playing this guitar for about a month now on my new Line 6 Spyder 15 amp, I still find more and more different tones and beautiful harmonics every day, that just simply "ring!" This guitar is absolutely awesome, it stays in tune and it is very well built. It comes out of Epiphone's Custom Shop and it has an all mahogany body and mahogany "set-neck." The only thing I can recommend, is adding a good set of Schaller strap-locks because this baby is too sweet looking and sounds to beautiful to drop on the coffee table. I immediately ran to GS to get some strap locks after almost dinging it on the coffee table. I am very happy with the Alinco humbuckers, they are pretty hot and they give this LP some great bluesy tones all the way to full-blown face-melting shredd!!!! If you want a fantastic Les Paul, that has a sweet and low, super fast action, great tone, sustain and harmonics and you don't want to break the bank by purchasing a Gibson, you will be hard pressed to find something that can compare to this Epiphone, for the price. Thank you Epiphone Custom Shop and thank you Guitar Center. Long live rock!!

  • Amazing

As reviewed by James on 12/21/2010

I tried an alpine white one of these out at my local guitar center, and this guitar sounds incredible. The clean on it sounds great, it's a nice warm sounding tone. But for me the distortion was what really stood out :D, It gave that rich les paul tone we all know and love and it sounds amazing for rock.
