  • Great guitar

As reviewed by Jay on 9/5/2010

I purchased this guitar just a few days ago and it has already grown on me. I traded in an old washburn that I have been playing for the past 6 years. This jumbo sounds just as good as an alvarez jumbo in my opinion that is almost triple the price. I change my strings to cleartones and then changed the bridge pins to ebony. It made a pretty big difference in the sound of it. It sounds great strumming or picking and is really a nice guitar. It seems to be built well. I paired mine with a gator hardshell case. Honestly, I would have payed more for this guitar. It is that good.

  • Pleasantly Surprised

As reviewed by Dan on 10/8/2010

I've been reading these reviews and was in the market for a new acoustic. Went to my local Guitar Center - found this on the wall. I played the true Gibson first. Then the Epiphone. I tell you, there is not a ton of difference. I've had it now for 3 weeks, play it every night for at least a half hour. Tuning is great, action is good, strings showing "dirt" already in the first positions, so I will be changing them soon. I could not believe how good this thing plays and sounds for the money. It plays way better than any Yamaha, Dean, Fender, etc in this price range. Highly recommended. Oh yeah, and it looks great too. Bought the natural finish.

  • excellent value

As reviewed by craig gentry on 12/13/2010

i have been playing music for over forty years, and i have had many guitars, from cheap to very high priced, this epiphone out the blew me away, right out of the box , the action needed very little adjustments, the sound was superb, and at this price, well , you just cant beat it, it sounds just as good as my old gibson, remarkable guitar. the fit and finish was second to none, i was so impressed when i held it in my hand, you can use this guitar every day, i would have no problems gigging with the instrument. i have already put away several of my guitars , just so i can use this one.
