Product Information

Clean looks, reasonable price.

The original idea for the Epiphone Les Paul Studio Electric Guitar was to create a somewhat lower-priced Paul by dispensing with some cosmetics. The result was an especially clean, handsome guitar with all the Les Paul essentials. Newly designed in 2004, the Studio now has a thicker body that matches its namesake, hot open-coil Alnico Classic humbuckers, a set mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard, and mahogany body with carved top. The LockTone Tune-O-Matic bridge and LockTone stopbar tailpiece add more sustain and make string changing easier. Limited lifetime warranty.

With our Guaranteed Lowest Price, you can be assured of complete satisfaction and the lowest available price, or your money back!

Amazing Guitar

This is an amazing beginner/intermediate guitar. I've always wanted to go for an all black Les Paul without going for a more expensive Black Beauty or equivalent. I tried this guitar out at the local Guitar Center, along with a Flying V, Fender Stratocaster, Fender Telecaster, Schecter Omen 6, Epiphone SG400 and Gibson Les Paul. I can honestly say that the only guitar better in tone and quality is the Gibson, and even that's only just a little bit better. The jet black ebony looks really great without the white pick-guard on the Standard. I tried this guitar at the shop with a B-52 AT112 Amp, and it sounds great on overdrive with the gain and tone turned all the way up. I like a nice, heavy sound (somewhat like a PRS, but better) to a guitar, but you can also turn the gain down and the contour up for a more natural, light sound. An excellent choice of guitar when you're looking for an opening level electric that sounds close to the genuine Gibson.

WOW, GREAT GUITAR

Well i have been looking for a Les Paul for some time now, and when I laid my eyes on the amazing looking guitar I fell in love. And I fell in love even more as I stared playing it. the sound and the features are great and I think it looks even better then the standard(but thats just me). Anyway I love this guitar and if you want a to experince the Les Paul sound and dont have $700 then get this guitar you won't regret it.

Best Guitar for the Money

The Epiphone Les Paul Studio has been my guitar of choice ever since I purchased it 2 years ago. The sound is amazing when playing through a clean channel on Rhythm, while a little more traversed in treble. It can handle any playing style and genre. I'm usually wailing out Slash-like riffs, and the quality of the notes is utterly indescribable. I would suggest chrome humbuckers, for I have heard the stock and they detract a bit from the sound. The only fault I have had with my Les Paul is the G string machine head is now loose, and the input jack is a little sketchy. All in all, the best guitar you can buy for the price, sound, look, and ease of play.

Better than the Epi' Standard

I played this guitar today with average expectations. But after I'd sat down with it for a while; I was really amazed. I also played an Epiphone Pes Paul Standard, and actually liked the Studio better. It's lighter, the neck is skinnier, and it's just all around more fast and fun to play on. As soon as I can scrape together some money I'm deffinantly buying this guitar!

An OK Paul

For the money, they could have done more with it. I purchased mine about 3 years ago. Back then it included real humbuckers and trapezoid inlay. They downgraded the features, but kept the price the same. Overal it's a very quality guitar. It stayed in tune very well until I broke the neck and had to repair it. Through my Marshall tube amp it sounds pretty killer, but lacks the true Les Paul tone. Comparing it to my Gibson SG Special, it definitely out performs the SG. The pickups aren't as buzzy as the SG and are much more alive and less money. On the other hand, my Fender Telecaster is an overall much better guitar, Both are similarly priced, but the Fender telecaster has a much more brilliant tone and is perfect for Pop-punk and indie music. If you're into a little bit harder rock, the Lespaul's tone could be just what you're looking for. Looking back on my purchase, I am satisfied with the instrument, but if I would have known what I know now about Telecasters, I would have went in that direction.

Great For the Price

This is a guitar that you can buy for less money than a gibson. The epiphone les paul studio is the same thing as the gibson version except it is made in a factory. For the most part it has the same hardware. And With the gibson you are pretty much paying for the gibson name anyway.

Sweet Axe! The best for the price!

I love les pauls, but was on a budget and didn't want a bolt-on neck, so this guitar was perfect for me. It has a mahogany set neck, and a nice, thick, beautiful body. It has a great sound from its hot, open coil humbuckers, even through a 10w practice amp(Although my 100w sounds so much better). It is a little heavy, but the quality makes up for it.

AWESOME GUITAR; AWESOME PRICE

This guitar is rich in tone, and it plays great. I got it in faded cherry, and was actually looking for another guitar, but when I tried this one, I asked for the box and the bill. The only thing in my opinion that was not so hot, were the strings, they got rusty within days, so I changed them to some Ernie Ball Super Slinky strings and it plays great. And the price is so much less than any other les paul, and still is very good, especially the tone, it feels warm. And surprisingly the guitar is very versatile too, so: get it!

The Best Guitar Ever!!!

This is my first electric guitar, altough I have tried many others. I truly think that this is the best guitar I have played, except for some of the higher end guitars like Gibson. I plugged it in to the Line 6 Spider 3 30 Watt amp, and it was killer. This guitar can go from heavy distortion to a clean, classical tone. Also, I played it next to a gibson and it sounded almost identical. I definetely reccomend it to begginers and even more experienced players. My guitar teacher even agreed and stated that it was the best guitar for the price.
