NEW REVIEW - So far, so good!

I read a lot of reviews of this baby before buying. Maybe I just got plain lucky. Mine showed up pretty much flawless. None of the problems with the finish that I'd read about. Solidly build. Decent setup right out of the box. Beautiful flame on top. Stays in tune like a champ. Best bang for the buck I've run across to date. Yes, you will eventually want to change out the pickups for something more to your liking, but otherwise a tremendous value.

NEW REVIEW - great guitar

I got this guitar as my first guitar about a year and a half ago, and it is Great. The only problems i have had with it is the area were you plug in the cord falls into the guitar and you have to take apart part of the guitar to get it out. Although, it is a defect with the Les Paul style of guitars. Other than that it plays great. I mainly use it for clean, but you can use it with just about any pickup or pedal. I have played a Gibson Les Paul which is a lot more expensive than the Epaphone Les Paul and I think that there is no difference in the two. I recommend this guitar for any level guitar player.

NEW REVIEW - A great guitar for ANYONE

When I heard that Guitar Center was having a trade in trade up sale, I figured it was about time I got rid of my old Fender Strat. I used my trade in money and some birthday money to buy the Epiphone Les Paul Standard Plus Top. I had played this guitar before but on just a clean sound. But when I plugged it in to my amp and put some distortion on it, it sounded great! I use a line 6 floor pod plus for my distortion and this guitar sounded great on every amp model. Some of the best things about it are that there is little feedback and it has great sustain. The three way toggle switch also gives you a variety of sounds, but I mainly have it on treble. The two volume knobs and two tone knobs let you customize your sound even more. But one of the best things about this guitar is the finish. I got the heritage cherry sunburst version and it looks great. The neck and fretboard are also great. I have no complaints so far so if you are looking for a great guitar at a great price, I highly recommend this to anyone.

Love it

I went to Guitar Center to find a Les Paul, so I could upgrade from my squier strat. From the moment I plugged in, I knew this was my guitar. The neck is so smooth, and the finish is great. Pickups deliver a good variety of sounds. Also, some people think Epiphones don't stay in tune, well this one did! Overall, this guitar can be played by anyone, from begginers to pros. Way to go Epiphone!

Road Warrior

I bought this guitar about a year ago. At the time I was on the road playing about 4 to 5 times a week. I could have bought a much more expensive guitar but (as I'm sure all road musicians know) they get fudged up on the road. Well this thing withstood everything from the salt water air on the beach in Destin to the humidity in Louisiana. Excellent sound and easy playability. No problems whatsoever. If you are a beginner or a serious working musician, this is a value buy. It delivers tone that I didn't think possible for its price range, if you want more simply put some les paul pickups in it to hot rod it and your on your way
