  • Lovely, yet decently price upgrade!

As reviewed by BluSouthPaw on 7/12/2010

I bought an Epiphone Les Paul Standard Plus-Top Memorial Day weekend, and is it sweet! Where to start... well as a lefty, this was a bargain. Because of the sale, it was only $300, compared to the $564 it usually is. Thank you GC!! The finish is superb. The flame maple is gorgeous and looks very professional, rivaling any kind of Gibson finish I've seen. The cream binding is perfect! The neck is comfortable the set neck makes the lower frets very easy to access. The Grover tuners are very trustworthy, and do not go out of tune too easily. The stock pups are pretty good, but I'm considering getting new ones in the future. But for now, they sound great, much better than my Epiphone Les Paul Special II. This is a great lefty for an intermediate player like myself (I've been playing for about a year). I definitely recommend it to any lefty looking for a great sounding, low budget guitar! :D

  • Excellent Left Middie Electric

As reviewed by trujoe3 on 12/10/2009

I have owned this guitar for about a year now and am quite satisfied with its performance and overall playability. I recommend changing out the strings from the factory ones, oiling the fret board, and just giving it a quick tune-up if you order it online. Mine came and it just appeared to have been on display as it was dusty. Beyond that though, the guitar itself is great. It holds notes perfectly with its awesome sustain. Bending, plucking, hammering, and pull-offs are a blast to do on the lower frets (esp after a string change with some Elixirs lights). Treble and Rythm both capture the electronics of the guitar great and couple well with my amp, a Spider 6. Weight-wise its a comparable to other electrics, and with a strap no worries whatsoever. Only superficial complaint I have is the knobs. They don't blend flush with the guitar and kinda jerk out (could just be mine). But again, its not a deal breaker. Overall, a solid buy for any Leftie looking for a quality, mid or high end beginner left-handed electric.

  • Great Guitar!!!!

As reviewed by aaaafffggghhh on 3/23/2009

Lefties have a hard time to find a great guitar at a shop, but this beauty is truly amazing. This guitar is beautiful, has very rich tone, and can be you axe in possibly any genre. The only thing is that the input gets a bit loose after a while, but you just got to tighten and keep on jammin. For price, I think this is the best quality guitar that you can find. Buying this is no regret!!!
