Solo your way into the stratosphere! This rock 'n' roller is based on Gibson's Flying V. It looked modernistic in 1958 and it still does, but now it's a classic. Body is made of sustain-enhancing korina wood, naturally finished. The 24-3/4" scale neck is mahogany with rosewood fingerboard. Electronics provided by 2 Alnico Classic humbuckers controlled by 3-way switching, one tone and 2 volume knobs.

  • Great Guitar, Good Price

    This is an awesome guitar. The price was gentle enough for me to pick it up with the cash I earned at my summer job 6 years ago and it plays like I dropped a small mint. This V is nice and light with a smooth fretboard and thin neck, easy to run up and down. The original pickups were nice and warm but I chose to swap them out for some custom ones. Overall This guitar plays like a Cadillac for the price of a KIA.

  • Satisfaction Guaranteed

    I had been longing for an Epi Les Paul to accompany my Epi SG but then I saw this V and knew I had to have it. I like the weight and bigger neck on the V. The SG is nice but its a little light and I like the heavier feel of the V. Its a solid guitar and a beautiful instrument and it plays great. The humbucker in the bridge screams and the combination of the neck and bridge pickups has a great, warm rhythm sound. Epi is truly the top of the line of affordable instruments. Also - a side note - this is the first instrument I've purchased online and was quite surprised to find that they came with an owners manual, allen wrench to adjust the truss rod, a instrument/amp cable (cheapy but works great with hand held recording devices, etc.) and a neat little poster of other epiphone guitars. When you buy a guitar at the store it's all you can do to get a set of strings and a few picks from them. At least I know with this instrument, it hasn't been handled by every greasy fingered schmo off the street.

  • Excellent choice!

    Bought this Axe used without trying it from Albany NY Guitar Center. It was better than anticipated! Great finish and comfortable mahogany neck. After a minor set-up, it was even better.Guys in my group loved the tone!This guitar is a good substitute for a 1983 Gibson re-issue Korina V which I stupidly sold in the 1980's & can't afford to replace. I highly recommend this import Epiphone.
