This hardshell case is designed exclusively for the Epiphone Jack Casady bass. This Tolex covered bass case offers the perfect fit and protection for your bass, featuring chrome hardware, padded/plush interior, and accessories box.
I've owned several of these cases over the last couple of years, and are exactly the case you need for your Jack Casady bass, which fits snugly and safely within. The furry padding and "leather-like" plastic shell are more than adequate to protect the bass. It is also a very attractive looking case. The only thing negative about them, is that the metal hinges are rather poorly attatched to the shell with a couple of rivet pins than can be pulled out when just normal opening and closing of the lid. They can also just outright fall out if there is any shock from hitting the ground from an upright position, as happened to one of mine. I used a little crazy glue to repair it, which did the trick, but doesn't really obliviate the fact that there are really some poor quality hinge fittings on this case. It's a little pricey, too, when you consider the above problem, but it is really the only thing out there that really fits and protects my Jack Casady basses this well. So overall, a decent case, but be sure to check it out thoroughly when you get one to make sure everything is tight, and be careful with it; it's not really built to take a ton of abuse...
I received the case, and my first impression of the packing box was that it was sure light. I was almost afraid to open it. When I did I was pleasantly surprised that the case was light but every bit as good as nice as expensive Gibson cases I have for my Les's and my Gretch. Much better than the large gig bag I was using. Bass fits perfectly.
This case is wonderful for Jack Casady basses - it fits like a glove. The padding is wonderfully plush, and the case looks really sharp. The handle seems to be of good quality. A great case for a wonderful price!
