This Epiphone Casino is a historical collection model inspired by John Lennon's 1965 Casino electric guitar he used on most Beatles recording sessions until The White Album and Let It Be sessions. It has all the classic appointments and hardware including a double-cutaway hollowbody, Tribute P-90 pickups, parallelogram fingerboard inlays, vintage tuners with small buttons, and a trapeze tailpiece.

  • What a great guitar!!

    Can I say how much I love this guitar? I've always wanted a hollow body electric and just couldn't afford a Gibson, which would have been my first choice. I played the regular Epiphone Casino and wasn't impressed, but for $400 more the John Lennon version has not disappointed. First of all, it's an icon, just picturing Lennon playing one like it on that rooftop in London gives me chills. It even sounds a lot like Lennon playing "I've Got a Feeling" or "Dig a Pony" on Let It Be, that throaty tone, and you hear each string so clearly...what great definition. The neck is super comfortable and easy to play, the Grover tuners are incredible, the tuning is super stable, even when you bend the strings, and the parallelogram inlays on the neck and the Epiphone logo on the headstock are classic. I just can't say enough good things about it. My only heartburn is the unfinished maple wood on the body. I knew it was "stripped" like Lennon's, but I didn't realize it didn't have any varnish on it. It worries me how it will hold up, or what happens if I try to polish it. But I read that Lennon stripped the finish off his because Donovan told him it would improve the tone and let the guitar "breathe," so I'll honor that and keep mine natural too. McCartney, who owns a guitar or two, says his Casino is his favorite. I'll second that!

  • Fantastic Guitar!

    The sound of this guitar is excellent, and it is very lightweight. Like the other reviews mention it is loud even when not hooked to an amp. I would most definitely recommend this guitar to anyone needing an electric guitar.This one has become my baby!

    Okay, I'm a little biased, but this guitar is awesome. I've wanted it ever since I started to look at the Beatle's guitars and the like. I just love everything about it. Usually when I pick up a guitar for the first time, it feels awkward. It usually takes a few songs for me to feel sort of comfortable. When I picked up my Casino, I started to play 'Get Back' and I haven't felt so happy playing guitar in my whole life. It sounds great even when it's not plugged into an amp. Lots of sound. Unless if someone shoots me for it, I'm never parting from this guitar.
