Epiphone Goth G-400 Electric Guitar (101763662)
Availability:

Modeled after the famous SG, but with a new dark look.

This back in black menace definitely sends a message even before you start playing it. The Epiphone Goth G-400 Electric Guitar is a twisted version of the Gibson '62 SG with solid mahogany body and slim-tapered set mahogany neck. The rosewood fingerboard has a VII inlay at the 12th fret and the headstock is highlighted with a Celtic cross. The deep SG styled double-cutaways let you reach all 22 frets with ease. Separate volume and tone controls for each of the open-coil high-output Alnico V humbuckers give you complete control of your sound. An innovative integrated killswitch/tone pot lets you create a sonic strobe effect. The Goth G-400 is bathed in a satin black finish and sports black-chrome hardware. The LockTone Tune-O-Matic bridge and LockTone stopbar tailpiece add more sustain and make string changing easier. Limited lifetime warranty.

  • Its a must buy for the price and the looks but...

As reviewed by Cody D on 8/22/2010

Ive owned the guitar for over a year and theres a few things that i find amazing but also some that are terrible. I love the humbuckers and the sound they produce, as well as the tone and volume controls for each. However the hardware used on the guitar is faulty and in the last few months it's been falling apart. The nut has come unglued, and the part where the jack goes in has come undone and now has completely snapped off. The guitar is not really suited for my playing and comfort ability. The sound it produces is un-matched and extremely unique. It has a shitload of tones and sounds it can produce with ease. Thats my 2 cents, a great guitar for the price but id recommend others.

  • great guitar !

As reviewed by Daniel on 2/7/2011

I just bought this guitar, the sound is fantastic, Ive read where complaints were made about the bridge being to high ! this is B.S., the bridge is fully adjustable to cover any hight you wish ! so are the pickups, a turn of a screw is all you need to set this guitar to what is best suited for you and your type of playabllity. the sound is loud and clear no matter what setting you decide to usefrom the first fret to the 22 you get clear response and tone, the guitar is light weight easy to carry, tho I bench 350lb's this guitar is a delight to play. as long as you take care of it , it will last a long time. we write and play our own music and no matter what I write this guitar handles it very well. Ive played since 1963 I have ove 20 different guitars but this is the most versitile Ive had in a long time. Buy it , you wont be disapointed in it.
