Modeled after the famous SG, but with a new dark look.

This back in black menace definitely sends a message even before you start playing it. The Epiphone Goth G-400 Electric Guitar is a twisted version of the Gibson '62 SG with solid mahogany body and slim-tapered set mahogany neck. The rosewood fingerboard has a VII inlay at the 12th fret and the headstock is highlighted with a Celtic cross. The deep SG styled double-cutaways let you reach all 22 frets with ease. Separate volume and tone controls for each of the open-coil high-output Alnico V humbuckers give you complete control of your sound. The Goth G-400 is bathed in a satin black finish and sports black-chrome hardware. The LockTone Tune-O-Matic bridge and LockTone stopbar tailpiece add more sustain and make string changing easier. Limited lifetime warranty.

  • Best purchase ever!!

As reviewed by HappytoHelp on 8/29/2006

I actually used this site and these reviews to help me purchase my G400 and I'm glad I did. I bought this guitar off Ebay slightly used but it's still the most amazing guitar. I wasn't looking for the Goth finish as it is not my style but I couldn't beat the price it was going for so I went ahead and got it anyway and to my surprise it's not overdone, I actually like the finish now. My only issue with the guitar is the peg for the strap, the guitar doesn't fit right so I may end up taking that in to have it adjusted but a minor inconvenience that shouldn't deter you from buying it. This is my upgrade guitar and for the price I can't believe how great of an upgrade it is, the sound is awesome. It's a great guitar for beginners all the way to advance players!

this guitar has a awesome. it has great playability, sounds nice, and has a great value. it is very easy to get up the neck for playing higher notes also. i think the only down side is the single layered pickguard. i like the triple layered with the white line. but that doesnt effect playing.
