Gibson's famous jumbo design with electronics and a cutaway!

The Epiphone EJ-200CE Acoustic-Electric Guitar is Epiphone's version of the Gibson classic, the guitar you've seen in the hands of everyone from Elvis to Emmylou. Jumbo maple body with a select spruce top, mustache bridge, gold hardware, and crown inlays on the fingerboard. Beautiful to behold, it has huge sound that you can easily amplify via the electronics.

The eSonic2 preamp
The eSonic2 preamp with built-in tuner features studio-quality fidelity, premiere dynamics, and greatly increased harmonic content, resulting in uncompromising acoustic guitar realism. The preamp is equipped with a very accurate chromatic tuner. When the tuner button is activated, the tuner, there will be no output signal from the guitar. The tuner button can also be used as a mute function. By activating the tuner, you can avoid the loud pops when plugging in.

NanoFlex pickup
The term "NanoFlex" refers to its ultra thin (nano-like) profile and its flexibility that allows it to conform to any surface shape. This assures complete guitar-to-pickup-to-saddle contact. Unlike other under-saddle pickups, the NanoFlex design utilizes 7 highly-sensitive and ultra-responsive layers of sensor material to not only sense the vibrations of the strings but the vibrations of the guitar body as well. The NanoFlex is the first pickup to incorporate active amplification directly at the pickup. As a result, the signal does not pass through even a single millimeter of the wire and therefore, the signal quality is uncompromised.

i just had this guitar, the first day i received the guitar, i just love it, it sound good, the electronics it not to good maybe is the cable i dont know, it has a good quiality of wood, it looks very elegant, but the 4rd since i received in the first string, 14th stret it makes a fakenote, this is the bad things of the epiphone, you need to fix one thing and it will be fine. maybe it is because the traveling, the cold weather and then the hot weather i dont know. but maybe is that :/

  • Excellent Guitar!

As reviewed by Marcus Howard on 7/10/2011

I got this guitar about 6 months ago, and I haven't been disappointed. THE LOOKS! The guitar looks beautiful (and the chicks dig it ;) And although it may not be a Taylor or Martin, the sound is very good. If you are REALLY looking forward to plugging it in, then i would consider different guitars. I plugged it in, and personally i thought it sounded good, but not as good as others might put out. I haven't had any problems with mine except there is only one case that fits it!! But anyways, I would recommend this guitar (especially for the price)! and note, you should probably put new strings on as soon as you get it.

  • Love it!

As reviewed by Jordan Hooker on 5/2/2011

I bought this guitar while on the road in 2008. My guitar just wasn't cutting in on stage and so I decided to try something new. I was first attracted to this guitar because of the classic Gibson look, but playing it won me over! I had it fully set up a year later and with the action appropriately set, this guitar has one of the greatest sustains I've ever heard.
