Outstanding value on a classic jumbo with a maple body.

Distinctively different in design, materials, and finishing details, the Epiphone EJ-200 Acoustic Guitar offers an alternative look and an attractive sound and price. • Great Guitar for the Price

As reviewed by Marc A on 9/14/2011

When I got this guitar, i expected it to have its faults, which it did, but i did not expect it to sound so good. The only problem with it is that the part of the bridge that holds the high e string can chip. This isn't a major problem and is not costly. Most custom shops will have a more reliable replacement. The sound of this guitar is very good. At first, i used cheaper strings, which reduced the quality of the sound. To fix that i threw on some elixer nanoweb strings and it sounds 10x better. I definitely recommend this guitar with some elixers and you'll be good.

  • Fine Playing and Sounding Guitar

As reviewed by Dave on 8/15/2011

I bought this guitar at Guitar Center a while back. One beautiful sounding guitar and a pleasure to play. I put extra light stings on it of my choice right after I got it. It plays beautiful and sounds beautiful. I have a Gibson Dove also. I think for the money you are not going to find anything close to the sound or the price.

  • Quality guitar with a quality sound

As reviewed by Fadi on 7/1/2011

After reading reviews about the EJ-200, I was ready to take the risk of buying a guitar without strumming a single note on it. The look is very nice, very well made. I don't know what the Gibson one is made of, but I'm not paying 3 grand unless I am Eric Clapton. The sound is really good, different a bit from a regular acoustic, being a jumbo and all. It is more powerful I feel. And the final bit is the price!! Everyone I showed the guitar to thought I spent at least a grand on it. I am more than satisfied with it. Buy the Epiphone hard case too, well worth protecting this guitar.
