Excellent Buy
Great guitar for every cent. I bought this thing not expecting much, but an majorly over-pleased with it. This guitar can easily contend and most likely beat guitars twice or three times its price. I am in love with this guitar. It has all the qualities of more expensive guitars except for a laminated spruce top instead of a solid, no big deal. excellent playability and sounds like a dream.

A lot of guitar for the money!
Having recently invested in a couple of decent guitars (both Martins), I decided that the one thing I still needed was a 12-string! Finding this model listed on many on-line sites (I purchased mine from music123.com) for a 'mere' $150., I went ahead and took this low-ball plunge. What a pleasant surprise it has turned out to be.
It isn't perfect, of course. It is quite heavy for anyone not accustomed to a 12-string dreadnaught, it holds the string pitch less well than do the Martins and one of the tuners actually needed to be serviced by an authorized Epiphone repair shop (under Gibson's lifetime warrantee, of course) because it seemed to be too tight. They determined that the problem was not the tuner, but that the instrument had been tuned one full octave too high at the factory (the low second low E string only,) Once lowered, the tuner worked as smoothly as the others! The tone is sweet. Heavy on the treble to be sure, but smooth with a surprisingly easy action. The finish is lovely and easy to maintain.
The wider neck takes a little getting used to - especially after the spoiling the Martins have provided me with after many years strumming away on a Harmony Sovereign - but it is not difficult to play.
The frequency or needed retuning (after every 6-8 songs) has improved dramatically in the first few weeks - it now holds the tune as well as my Martin 6-strings. I recently attended a Judy Collins concert where she played her signature Martin 12-string - and she retuned after every other song! 12 strings simply take more maintenance than do 6!

Great Value for Great Quality
I own a few guitars, one of which is an Epiphone. I often like to go to Guitar Center and check out all of the cool equipment. My friend asked me about getting a twelve-string and I invited him to go with me one weekend. He was a bit deterred by the high prices on the guitars he saw. Then I saw the Epiphone DR-212 12-String Acoustic Guitar and started playing on it. The sound was full and had a surprising good quality. He started playing playing it himself and figured that it was at least 400 dollars. Well, the second I showed him the price tag, he found an employee and asked him to get one from the back so he could buy it. The actual feel and weight of the guitar is good and it plays very nicely. I'm considering getting one for myself and I don't know why I haven't gotten it yet considering the price. That is usually how much a six-string costs and the quality is usually lacking. This guitar probably offers the greatest quality for the lowest price around. I highly recommend this guitar if you're looking for a twelve-string and you are low on funds.

Epiphone DR-212 12-String Acoustic Guitar
When my old Epiphone 12 string reached the end of it's reign, I knew I would need a new guitar to replace it. I chose this Epiphone becaues I was pleased with my old guitar's preformance, and I was in need of a cheap price. I 've been playing for 8 years now and this guitar may not be the nicest on the market but the quality of the sound is definitly worth it.

One Great Acoustic
Over the years, i have played many different 12 acoustic guitars, but the Epiphone DR-212 12-String Acoustic Guitar is by far the best one that i have ever played. 12 strings always sound better and fuller than the regular 6 string. But for the price on this guitar, you can not pass it up. This guitar is so great, you practice blues, you can play cords on it. when you play cords they sound richer and fuller than on a 6 string, if you play guitar, you have got to get this epiphone 12 string acoustic. You simply can NOT go with out it. Every guitar player has to have a 12 string acoustic somewhere in there collection. Make this one that 12 string and you are bound to become one great guitar player. Get one today!!! You will thank me later!!!
