Good first Acoustic-Electric
Well, first off, it's a pretty great looking guitar. It's a spruce top with a mahogany body; it's even got the trademark "E" on the pickguard. It's a little big and kind of beats up my right arm, but i'm a rather small guy. The neck is a tad bit bulkier than I would like but it's pretty good for barre chords.
In terms of sound quality, this thing is awesome when unplugged. It has great tone, better than the majority of acoustic-electric in the same price range. Plugged in though, it sounds kind of tinny and shallow. The equalizer balances it out a bit but not enough to make it gig-worthy.
All in all, you get what you pay for; if you're starting out, it's a good pick.

Great sound for the money!!!
I've played one of these for about three months now, and I have to say it is one of the nicest guitars that I've ever played. When my friends hear it, they can't believe how great it sounds.
The looks of this guitar is what first drew me to it, but the sound made me fall in love with it.
It sounds even better through an amp, the Shadow electronics are pretty awesome!
You won't go wrong with this one!!!

Great guitar for messin around!
I bought this guitar just for messing around. I hadn't played in many years, and wanted to get back into it. I was looking at a comparably-priced Ovation, but the Epiphone seemed to be built much better and it has a fuller sound. I have been playing in for a couple months now, and it sounds great. When I plug it into my old Marshall amp, the Phase switch helps somewhat with the feedback, but it does sound tinny, so not as good sounding when electric. Love it for playing unplugged!

Epiphone is one of the best!
I've played with Epiphone? guitars since i began to play. They have one of the greatest sounds you can possibly get for three-hundred dollars or less. Many people judge it because they haven't heard of the this brand but when they hear it, they fall in love! I've played at church, garage band, concerts and just in my house and the soungd never goes away. In-fact, it gets better!
