Epiphone Blues Custom 30 Watt 2x12" Combo Amp - Mint Condition

$510.39

Product Information

A serious competitor in the premium amp market, at a fraction of the price!

Designed and engineered in the USA by Gibson, the Blues Custom 30 combo takes the competition down at the knees with pro performance and features at a phenomenally low price. Dual-channel 30W AB operation (pentode), or 15W Class A operation (triode) plus independent or interactive tone controls and specially designed Lady Luck 12" speakers by Eminence are impressive enough on paper, but when you hear the tonal quality and feel the organic interactivity, you won't believe your ears. The tube rectifier provides bluesy sag while tube-driven reverb sounds incredibly natural. 3-band EQ plus added mid control on the hot channel lets you dial in hard-hitting definition. 12AX7 preamp tubes with DC powered filaments operate very quietly.

With our Guaranteed Lowest Price, you can be assured of complete satisfaction and the lowest available price, or your money back!

Epiphone Blues Custom 30

I recently tryed the Epiphone Blues Custom 30 Watt 2x12 Combo Amp in my local music store. I am totally shocked what Epiphone is putting out these days. I own the Epiphone Valve Special combo and the SoCal head already but this Blues Custom really teases me.Ok I,m not thrilled these amps are made in China but whatever, they rock. The Epiphone Blues Custom 30 Watt has that cool switch mode from class A 15 watt to a 30 watt class a/b mode which gives you a lot of tonal posibilities. It sounds like Epiphone has another winner in the amp market again.

Follow-up Review

This amp is so versatile it takes many sessions to fully grasp its' musical attributes. I just finished a foray into Class A operation @ 15 watts and there IS a difference in character from A/B mode; more purity of notes and chords and ability to 'mike' for recording. And this with single coil/RWRP strat input. Natural distortion is available even at LOW volumes and is easily switched to clean with a good footswitch. Anyone who has had trouble with their sound simply was not attune to setting the amp for the target sound. This amp is as close as it comes to covering ALL areas with the electric guitar; patience and experiment is required. The only thing yet to be tested is hard use/continuous gig reliability, which is still dependent on the individual unit and player. I don't find a limitation to any music style with this product. Job well done, Epiphone.

If you can find one

Been reading about these amps for a year,so when I got the news one of the new dealers in town had one,I got there as soon as I could. This thing sounds great, but the dealers was a jerk, and they didn't have the footswitch for it,so trying all the features wasn't going to happen. But just listen to this baby sing, and you'll be hooked.Best value i've ever seen in my 30+ years of playing.Try one if you can find one

Versitle Tone

I've had my Epiphone Blues Custom 30 for about 6 months now and it just keeps getting better. When it first arrived I was very impressed by the solid feel and enormous weight. The clean channel is just that, sparkling highs, full mids, and tight lows. Once you reach the 1 o'clock position on the volume it starts to segue into a harmonically rich break up. The drive channel is full of dirt and sweet overdrive tones. The switchable tone stack is very cool and allows for an other complete set of tonal possibilities. The mid control on the O.D. channel is great for tailoring your sound. This amp handles all types of pedals with ease. I use a Route 66 Overdrive,A Rocktron Austin Gold O.D., a Dunlop Cry Baby wah, and a Dental Labs digital delay all of which sound great through this amp. My sons Rocktron Zombie Distortion pedal turns this blues amp into a fire breathing metal monster. While a tubes that come with the amp sound very good, this amp really sings with a JJ's 12ax7 in position 1, a Tungsol 12ax7 in position 2, 2 Groove Tube 12ax7c's in positions 3 and 5, and a JAN GE 5751 in position 4, along with a matched pair of Tungsol 5881 reissues and a JJ's rectifier. With this tube compliment in my amp, everyone who hears it is floored by the tone and can't believe how little I paid. The only other suggestion I have is to have a pair of Weber Beam Blockers installed to calm some of the spikiness in the OD channel. This is one sweet amp that with a few upgrades will challenge any tube amp costing twice as much. By far the best value in the combo amp market today.

This amp rules

this might be one of the best amp i've ever played through. i sold my sovtek mig 100 in search of a combo amp that could do what i needed. this amp had everything i was looking for. the reverb sounds amazing. there's so much tone variation. it does take a little bit to mess with all of the options to find the one you're looking for, but when you find it you're set. i own several amps, but this is the only one i need.
