Warm, woody tones for a tiny price.

The Epiphone AJ-100CE Acoustic-Electric Guitar brings the look and sound of the Advanced Jumbo to everyone. Guitar comes with standard AJ features such as a select spruce top, mahogany back and sides, and a rosewood fingerboard. The AJ-100CE includes a cutaway body style and the Nanoflex pickup for electric amplification.NanoFlex pickupThe term "Nanoflex" refers to its ultra thin (nano-like) profile and its flexibility that allows it to conform to any surface shape. This assures complete guitar-to-pickup-to-saddle contact. Unlike other undersaddle pickups, the Nanoflex design utilizes 7 highly-sensitive and ultraresponsive layers of sensor material to not only sense the vibrations of the strings but the vibrations of the guitar body as well. The Nanoflex is the first pickup to incorporate active amplification directly at the pickup. As a result, the signal does not pass through even a single millimeter of the wire and therefore, the signal quality is uncompromised.

  • Epiphone AJ 100CE

As reviewed by Travis on 5/2/2011

It sounds amazing; a lot better than my lead guitarists Ibanez. The only problem is it doesn't have a preamp or controls. So pretty much all it is a microphone inside the guitar leading to an input jack that goes to your amp. so if you plan of using this in a band you can get a preamp (pricey), run it through the PA (recommended) or just take a seat with a microphone in front of the guitar (what every you want). but a great guitar over all.

  • Good Guitar

    As reviewed by on 6/25/2007

This guitar is a good guitar for intermediate players. I got it because it was a decent guitar for a good price. It's good for musicians who don't have a lot of money.

  • You'll be surprised!!

As reviewed by MH on 10/9/2009

I bought this guitar because well, I'm pretty rough on my guitars. A friend of mine told me about the quality of epiphone's and how they had eclipsed his pricey guitar's... I took his word for it..I got this guitar just 2 day's ago and I am very impressed. I didn't have any rattle or the string buzz that I had read in some reviews. This guitar has a bright tone. The action is great too!! Trust me, if you don't want to break your wallet but want great quality, this is the way to go.
