The design that blasted guitar into the space age.

The Epiphone 1958 Explorer Electric Guitar is based on the '58 Gibson design that ushered in the space age! The 1958 Explorer features a 24-3/4"-scale maple neck with rosewood fingerboard. Two Alnico Classic humbuckers give it its rock 'n' roll voice, with one tone and two volume knobs and a three-way switch for shifting from rhythm to high-altitude leads. The LockTone Tune-O-Matic bridge and LockTone stopbar tailpiece add more sustain and make string changing easier. Limited lifetime warranty.

Amazing guitar , rad sound, metal looks, one problem, the gold hardware fades fast, but besides that its amazing

  • a mighty fine guitar.

As reviewed by Stalin. on 7/5/2010

my dream guitar for a while. great for punk rock and all that stuff. for the few bluesy jazz parts i play in a few of my bands songs, it really shines. pretty damn heavy though. and the strap button by the neck is useless, it has to be relocated to the back of the guitar. the pickup toggle doesnt work occasionally, have to turn it back and forth a few times to come back. perfect action from factory. never let me down during a set. did i mention it's heavy?

I just bought this guitar and I love it.The Shape, sound, everything is awesome. I think it's the best guitar you can buy with this price. It just has one problem... the neck is too heavy but not a big deal...
