Outstanding Speaker!

By Ksguitarpicker

from Wichita, Ks

After speaking with a friend of mine who is a Nashville session player I started checking into adding some solid state amps to my collection. The first one I found was a Fender London reverb which really peaked my interest in solid state amps especially Fenders. Anyway my friend suggested a Fender 25r for a versitile amp for small gigs and recording work. I was told to replace the stock speaker with an Eminence "RAM ROD." What a treasure this SPEAKER is! it added clear bottom, smooth mid range and great articulate highs. One suggestion to get that smooth bottom of a tube amp is to close off the back of the cabnet. I tried it and have used this amp with the RAM ROD installed on several gigs and two recording sessions. For $170.00 bucks for the Fender 25r amp and the Ram Rod you can set up a combo that will compete with amps 5 and 6 times in price. OUTstanding SPEAKER!!

Speaker that Kicks

By Phil Freeman

from Bakersfield, Ca.

Do not spend a lot of money on speakers. The Eminence RedCoat Ramrod is all you will ever need.I have a Fender Frontman 25R and replaced the stock speaker with the Redcoat, It kicks and made my amp sound as loud and punchy as any 60W amp on the market. Crystal clear highs to bass blues tones that are awesome.

Very good quality for the price.

By CEO

from Montebello, CA

I replaced the stock speaker in my Frontman 25R with this red Coat and the amp woke up and came alive, Tight and punchy lows and sweet and brigth highs. I use Eminence speakers in all my amps both the Patriots and the Red Coats and I'm happy with the quality and sound they deliver. The price is also lower than their competitors.

It rocks! Loud & clear.

By Etienne L

from Brooklyn, NY

Using this in a 1x10" open back cabinet with a homemade high gain tube amp (the Firefly) and it's exactly what I wanted. Very efficient and much louder than I expected. First time I could really connect the resonance I feel in the guitar body to what is coming out of the speaker. No farting and fuzzing, just clear tones. Highly recommended if you're into blues or classic rock.
