Nice full sounding

By Thom

from South Bend, IN

Comments about Eminence Patriot Texas Heat 12" 150W Guitar Speaker:

I picked up a Texas Heat to put in my Blues Jr and am really impressed with the sound. Some say it is a darker sound but I would call it a mellow sound. It has nice full sound to it, almost like I have twin 12" speakers. This is the second Eminenece Speaker I have purchased and I have been very happy with both.

What an improvement!

By John

from Dallas Area

Comments about Eminence Patriot Texas Heat 12" 150W Guitar Speaker:

I bought 2 of these to replace 2 of the stock speakers in my Ampeg 4x12 cab (it's been beaten on for like 10 years). These bad boys made a HUGE difference! The bass is tight and powerfull, mids are just about right, and they have a kind of Dimebag-esque upper trebel to them (but NOT harsh, screaming treble). I can rattle the whole house with them! They also will take a lot of juice from the amp. They sound equally as good on clean or distortion and seem to perform just as well regardless of the type of music I play through them. I can't wait to get another 2 to finish the speaker upgrade. Then I'll be all set to grab a Peavey Valveking power head and my rig will be complete. I Recommend these to any one who wants a powerfull sound that works for any rock-type music. I would definitely buy these again.

Great tone for replacement

By Jeff

from Corvallis, OR

Comments about Eminence Patriot Texas Heat 12" 150W Guitar Speaker:

I blew the speaker on a small crate practice amp and decided to replace the speaker with a texas heat patriot. The difference was amazing. Keep in mind a quality speaker is the last link in your signal chain, and is too often overlooked. Do yourself a favor and upgrade if you think you are suffering in sound quality. The texas heat is not the best sounding speaker I have ever heard, but for this price it is absolutely the best valued speaker I have come across. 5 Stars.

Comments about Eminence Patriot Texas Heat 12" 150W Guitar Speaker:

these are great speakers. i am running a 50 watt Marshall DSL through 2 of these in a semi-open back custom cab and they really do a great job. they "smooth out" the DSL just enough! i would highly recomend the texas heat to anyone looking for something just a little different out of a Marshall head.

Awesome Speaker!!

By Matt

from Beaumont CA

Comments about Eminence Patriot Texas Heat 12" 150W Guitar Speaker:

I swapped out my Jensen C12N from my Blues Jr NOS. The Texas Heat sounds so much better to me. The C12N sounded good but the bass is really weak....farty some call it. Best way to describe the sound now (No Mods, They're on the way soon)...SRV Texas Flood @ El Macambo (With a Strat of course).

Awesome sound dynamics

By Ed

from Temecula, CA

Comments about Eminence Patriot Texas Heat 12" 150W Guitar Speaker:

I too own a Blues JR NOS, Tweed which I've had now for 10 months. I actually purchased the amp at GC with out playing through it first- I know, I know... To make a long story short and some BillM mods on the amp with an addition to this speaker I now have the sound I was looking for to compliment the music I play. The Texas Heat added more over all depth to my sound that I didn't have before. In addition, help removed the disturbing "ice Picky" nuance. Don't get me wrong I play regular through this amp prior to this modification, i.e., every night- personal practice, 1-2 times a week band practice at peak volumes. So the stock speaker was broken in. I can't to hear what the amp will sound like after this speaker is broke in because as it currently sits, sounds really good. You do have to tweek your Bass, Treble, and Mid settings because this speaker does boost the low end. Over all? Love this Speaker!!

Texas Heat and Fender Bradcaster Delivers

By John Arney

from Michigan " The Blues State"

Comments about Eminence Patriot Texas Heat 12" 150W Guitar Speaker:

I have a Vox AD30VT combo and really wanted a tone that was chunky, mid tone, and high tone enhanced. Bluesey. So I built an 12" extension speaker cabinet, put on a on/off/on switch, interfaced with 1/4" plug with cables, made the system very modular. Adding the Texas Heat gave me that sound I wanted and the ability to develope others with the stock Vox 10" speaker. 30 watts delivers enough for me with my Fender Broadcaster.. Very Very Pleased. Unbelieveable speaker

By Chris

from Punta Gorda, FL

Comments about Eminence Patriot Texas Heat 12" 150W Guitar Speaker:

As a die hard southern rock and blues player and fan, I'd say the Texas Heat was absolutely worth every penny. This speaker completely changed the character of my fender combo. It handles overdrive great, and it has a fat bottom end with a wide prominent midrange sweep which gives it a huge, fat sound. The treble is bell like, not sparkly or chimey which is what I prefer. If you're into the power trio thing and are the only guitarist in a band, this will really help fill in any frequency gaps in the sound. Eventually I plan on getting 4 more for my Marshall cab. Definately recommended!

By Andres F Vargas R

from Medellin, Colombia

Comments about Eminence Patriot Texas Heat 12" 150W Guitar Speaker:

A nice improvement over the stock speaker on the peavey valveking 112, now the bass have more clarity and definition and the highs are not as harsh as before.
