Comments about Eminence Patriot Texas Heat 12" 150W Guitar Speaker:

I put the Texas Heat in a Fender Stage Lead amp and it made all the difference. I would guess it sounds better than when the amp was new.

      Great replacement for Champion 40

      By

      from Memphis TN

Comments about Eminence Patriot Texas Heat 12" 150W Guitar Speaker:

I bought a champion 40, while original speaker was good, it would buzz at 5 and rattle at 6, I replaced it with the Texas Heat and the tonal quality is better and now nice and clean to almost 9 on volume. Very pleased

      The Super One

      By

Comments about Eminence Patriot Texas Heat 12" 150W Guitar Speaker:

I have a 70's Silver Face model Fender Deluxe Rev that had a weak speaker due to the age of the amp. I was concerned about replacing the speaker because I like to keep equipment in its original condition due to appreciation, retaining resale value, etc. Several years ago I had replaced the speaker in another amp with the Patriot Texas Heat & was happy with that, so, I decided to go with the same deal on my little DR. I amp very happy with the performance & sound right now, and the speaker has not even seated in, or broken in well at this point. I can use it soft, or crank it, and there is no sacrifice for tone or clarity any way one chooses to play thru it. It's definitely a real winner that I'm pleased with.

      Excellent replacement for valveking 112

      By

Comments about Eminence Patriot Texas Heat 12" 150W Guitar Speaker:

A nice improvement over the stock speaker on the peavey valveking 112, now the bass have more clarity and definition and the highs are not as harsh as before.

      Great For Harmonica

      By

      from Tallahassee, FL

Comments about Eminence Patriot Texas Heat 12" 150W Guitar Speaker:

Acquired a used Peavey ValveKing 112 dirt cheap, so I thought I?d give it a whirl. Was never big on 1X12 combos for harp. Based on common consensus, swapped out the stock speaker with a Texas Heat. The amp now has incredible bite and cut without being barky or shrill. Tremendous, throaty growl and powerful low end when pushed hard. In fact, the harder you push it, the bigger and badder it sounds. I recently bought another ValveKing 112 as a backup because I love this setup so much now. Another Texas Heat went into the new amp without a second thought. Been using tweed 4X10 amps for the better part of 20 years. This speaker has made me think about things very differently now. Instant tone; just add Heat.

      Unbelieveable speaker

      By

      from Punta Gorda, FL

Comments about Eminence Patriot Texas Heat 12" 150W Guitar Speaker:

As a die hard southern rock and blues player and fan, I'd say the Texas Heat was absolutely worth every penny. This speaker completely changed the character of my fender combo. It handles overdrive great, and it has a fat bottom end with a wide prominent midrange sweep which gives it a huge, fat sound. The treble is bell like, not sparkly or chimey which is what I prefer. If you're into the power trio thing and are the only guitarist in a band, this will really help fill in any frequency gaps in the sound. Eventually I plan on getting 4 more for my Marshall cab. Definately recommended!

      Good speaker but lacks high-end

      By

      from Ohio

Comments about Eminence Patriot Texas Heat 12" 150W Guitar Speaker:

I put one of these in my Fender Blues Jr. It was a decent trade-off, as I gained mid-range and low-end punch, but some of the treble tonality and sustain kind of washed out. Held true for my guitars with Humbuckers as well as the ones with single coils. Good speaker for the price, though.

Comments about Eminence Patriot Texas Heat 12" 150W Guitar Speaker:

these are great speakers. i am running a 50 watt Marshall DSL through 2 of these in a semi-open back custom cab and they really do a great job. they "smooth out" the DSL just enough! i would highly recomend the texas heat to anyone looking for something just a little different out of a Marshall head.

      Awesome Speaker!!

Comments about Eminence Patriot Texas Heat 12" 150W Guitar Speaker:

I swapped out my Jensen C12N from my Blues Jr NOS. The Texas Heat sounds so much better to me. The C12N sounded good but the bass is really weak....farty some call it. Best way to describe the sound now (No Mods, They're on the way soon)...SRV Texas Flood @ El Macambo (With a Strat of course).

      Texas Heat Performs

      By

Comments about Eminence Patriot Texas Heat 12" 150W Guitar Speaker:

The Texas Heat speakers are great. They sound clear with plenty of outstanding tone. They handle what I am giving them and I am completley happy with the purchase from the Guitar Center. I put them in an older (1968) Fender Baseman Cabinet that I was no longer using. The best thing is the Eminence are MADE IN AMERICA!!! I recomend them highly.
