Made my superchamp a force to contend

By Werner

from Minneapolis

Replaced the stock speaker on my x2 superchamp amp. I googled this prior and based my choice on reviews of this rajin Cajun. The reviews were dead on. This speaker has the force to handle all I throw at it, including my LP's and even my SG. This upgrade made my superchamp quite a feisty amp to plug in. I would recommend this to everybody who is considering a superchamp upgrade. I already upgraded my Blues junior with the WG 65 watt speaker which made a huge difference. Now my mission with two great amps that were stock mal-nourished in the speaker dept., is complete :-)

Just Right

By John McFarland

from Huntsville, AL

I received the speaker in 3 days I believe. It was easy to install in my Fender Frontman 25. It replaced the stock speaker and it seems to be noticibaly more powerful than the stock Fender speaker. To me though most small amps perform better when you crank them up to 6 or above. anyway I play a smaller more open and less crowded venue and it just seems to give me a clearer and not as wimpy of a sound. It seems to make the gain have a stronger more fuller bluesy sound. Overall even though I am not a sound engineer; I would have to rate this speaker definitely better than a stock speaker in a small Amp probably of any manufacturer.

It works...

By Ronald Moses

from Pleasanton, CA.

Not sure what all the hype is on this speaker, it sounds fine, nothing to put a big "wow" sticker on it though. I have a very old 50 watt full of dust 1986 Fender Harvard Reverb II which had never been cleaned out since its creation and it has travelled all over the west coast with me since then. The amount of dust in this box was just unreal when I took it apart; I mean how could this beast still function? My amp still worked prior to replacing the speaker, but I was hoping for a vast improvement of sound quality and found all of these reviews on this particular speaker and thought why not spend the money. At first comparison I noticed that the Fender speaker has a smaller cone than the Rajon Cajon and obviously speakers over the past 25 years have improved so visually comparing the two, one would think that the Rajon Cajon is newer and should help the sound. The new speaker fit perfectly without any modifications to the amp which was awesome and the existing clips as well fit nicely. After the amp was totally cleaned up (and looking quite well; so happy I have kept it all of these years), it sounds good, but I can't say it really made an improvement to the amp sound than when the stock Fender speaker was in there. I sort of wish I would have stuck with Fender and bought a Fender speaker only because it stays true to the product; but that doesn't mean a new Fender Speaker would give me a better result. Hope this helps...

Great Speaker

By steve koppelkam

from brookfield, WI

The speaker feels heavy duity so im not afraid of it pushing it to hard which is nice since i like to play hard. great clairity and response. better bass in comparison to the speaker i replaced in my Frontman 25R, though i had to keep the bass to prevent clipping. the highs werent as pronounced as i expected, but i believe a lot of that is due to my amp and not the speaker. All and all its a great speaker. when my one 10" puts out almost the same quality of sound as my friends 4x12" cab there's no way it can be bad.

Ragin Cajun Copperhead Mix

By Len Walker

from Texas

I have been needing to upgrade my original CTS Alnico speakers in my 68 Super Reverb for quite awhile, and I read many reviews of the "Barkin' Blues" package. Given the cost of restoring and reconing the original speakers, I decided to give that combo a shot. I play with considerable crunch/distortion for blues, and these cajuns with the copperheads are a perfect match. The reviews are correct. You can't go wrong. The combination provides excellent tonal response throughout from clean to dirty. Yes, I realize I have committed some terrible sin by selling off the original speakers, and I'm good with that. Leo and God are both quite happy with the change.

Rajin' indeed!

By Bradley Davis

from Charlotte, NC

I installed the Ragin' Cajun into my Fender Super Champ XD. I read all of the reviews of people saying this speaker turned their Super Champ into a monster and man they were right! I immediately noticed a difference in the warmth, articulation, and fullness of my sound! The cleans are warm and...clean, and the distortion is articulate and fits my needs nicely. I had been trying to play Tool's "Jambi" and the beginning part never sounded right. I always thought I was doing something wrong because of how muddy it souned. Tried the same lick with the Ragin Cajun and it sounds perfect! I would highly recommend this speaker for anyone that owns a Fender Super Camp XD or needs a 10 inch speaker. Two items of note: 1) A few people said this is a bass heavy speaker and I do not agree. While it is slightly darker than the stock speaker, it has a screaming Mid/Low range. A quick turn of the Treble knob from 4 to 6 cleaned up the darkness. 2) Don't forget, the first time you install the speaker will be the worst it will sound. All speakers need to be broken in before they hit their sweet spot. With that said, this thing sounds amazing directly after install. Buy, you won't regret!

Ragin Cajun Rages On

By opalguy

from Phoenix, AZ

I installed the speaker last night in my Fender Frontman 25R. The warmth and tone of the amp is immediately apparent. The stock speaker was flat and the tone was dry. The Ragin Cajun shows the true depth of tone available from this solid state amp. I cant say enough about how full the sound is now in comparison. I'm very satisfied and would recommended the upgrade to anyone with my amp. It works wonders.
