Great Speaker!

By Steve

from Sandy, UT

Comments about Eminence Patriot Ragin' Cajun 10" 75W Guitar Speaker:

I replaced the stock speaker in a 15 watt Fender Super Champ XD amp. The amp sounded pretty good before, now it sounds great. The speaker adds some fullness to the lows, and an overall more balanced sound. It sounds like a big amp even at low volumes. Fender should install the Ragin' Cajun as the factory stock speaker.

Great little upgrade for your amp...

By JoeStumpFan

from Spokane, WA

Comments about Eminence Patriot Ragin' Cajun 10" 75W Guitar Speaker:

Just loaded this baby into my Fender 25R last night and what a difference. The stock speaker sounded very thin. This speaker brought the amp to life. The cleans have a deeper vibe to them with out losing any high end clarity. I have a Boss DS1 in front along with a Boss OD pedal. The stock speaker did ok, but the bass started to vanish if the volume went up. No loss in tone or bass with this speaker. It makes my little 25 watt solid stater sound great. Due to the magnet size and strength I do get a slight hiss from the amp, but no big deal. When you buy a solid state amp you just know that you are gonna get some type of amp noise. I played more expensive Marshall solid staters that gave off alot more noise then this little Fender. Overall this is a great upgrade for your amp. It makes my basement jamming 25 watter sound fabulous.

Patriot Ragin' Cajun 10" 75W Guitar Speaker

By Phil Palonen

from CT

Comments about Eminence Patriot Ragin' Cajun 10" 75W Guitar Speaker:

I bought these speakers based on reviews. Arriving one day earlier than promised, I installed the two speakers into my Fender Custom Vibrolux Reverb amplifier right away. Compared the stock speakers these Ragin' Cajuns sound very full with a clean sound and rockin' with an overdriven sound. There is a considerable usable volume increase as well. For the price, these really made a difference.

A lot of Tone and Volume

By Darrell Parsons

from Gilbert , Az

Comments about Eminence Patriot Ragin' Cajun 10" 75W Guitar Speaker:

After reading several Forums and comparing Specs I decided to replace the original speaker on my Fender Super Champ (I had previously replaced the Tubes with a Tung-Sol Medium duet set)- Tubes did help some but not much, this Speaker replacement certainly made a difference. Very clean Full Tones, you can get a lot of Volume without distortion with this set up. Super easy to install. I like to Tinker - some changes produce an improvement some don't, this change is really worth considering particularly if you are looking for enhanced clarity of tone with volume.

Ragin' Cajun, Ragin' sound

By Abe

from Monterey Park, CA

Comments about Eminence Patriot Ragin' Cajun 10" 75W Guitar Speaker:

I purchased this speaker to replaced a stock speaker for my 40 watt pignose G40V and let me say, what a huge difference. LOUDER, more aggressive, and it definately brought out the bass in my amp that I never new existed, and this is before it has been fully broken in. I can't wait to hear it once it acclimates to it's permanent home. This speaker isn't going anywhere, all I can say is WOW. Installation was a breeze, no more than 5 minutes to install. Great speaker at a great price, buy, buy, buy.

Very Nice Speaker Upgrade

By Mark

from Whittier, California

Comments about Eminence Patriot Ragin' Cajun 10" 75W Guitar Speaker:

I had my doubts about this speaker initially, but after 5 or 6 hours of break-in playing, it warmed up nicely and can get real close to that Fender clean sound. The biggest improvement by far however, was the newfound volume (headroom). This thing is literally twice as loud if not more. I'm not going to say you can gig with it necessarily, but it's pretty close...a small gig yes. I definitely stand behind this speaker as a worthwhile upgrade. I would say it's a must have at this point. You can't beat GC's free shipping either.

Replaced the stock speaker in my Fender Superchamp XD with the Ragin' Cajun. Made a big difference in bottom end. Did not lose any of the highs. Sounds great.

Great Clean Tone

By THOMAS

Comments about Eminence Patriot Ragin' Cajun 10" 75W Guitar Speaker:

Like others here I picked this up for my Fender Frontman 25R. Now, I am a bit of a tone snob and I don't for a minute feel that the results should be compared to a Blues Jr. This will not turn your solid state amp into a tube amp, but if you're like me and appreciate the pure palate that a solid state amp provides this is ABSOLUTELY the way you should go. If you pick up a Frontman 25R, add this speaker, and warm it up with an Electro Harmonix Soul Food you just got yourself some GREAT tone for under $300.00 (tax included). Unfortunately the Frontman wasn't quite built to handle the volume boost this speaker gives you so I had to get creative to stop it from buzzing (a glue gun to the plastic tabs at the bottom of the reverb and some poster putty between the grille and the baffle). I also found that it makes my higher overdrive sounds a little too trebly (but what's this, a tone control? right on my guitar? problem solved!), but I prefer a darker lead tone that's more Clapton than SRV so some people may not consider that a problem. If you need a quieter small gig amp (or especially if you're at a church that doesn't appreciate extra volume) this speaker will satisfy you and you'll be able to lug your lightweight solid state amp around and silence the tone snobs who think tube is the only way to go.

What a difference!

By LESTER

Comments about Eminence Patriot Ragin' Cajun 10" 75W Guitar Speaker:

Picked up a Fender Frontman 25R a couple of years ago when GC had them on sale. It sounded good enough out of the box but other reviews I've read said upgrading this amp with this speaker made a huge difference in the amp performance. Many of the reviews that I read on the speaker itself said the same thing, that this speaker is a great upgrade for this amp. Well, it most certainly is! When practicing at lower volumes, this speaker and amp combo sound pretty good. But start cranking up the volume and it's VERY surprising! This thing gets loud.....and it seems the more volume you add, the better it sounds. In short, buy it. You'll love it!
