A Replacement for JBL 2408H HF Driver

Comments about Eminence PSD:2013-8 8" High-Frequency Compression Driver:

First off, the Guitar Center titles for these Eminence HF drivers are goofy. These drivers are not 8 inches or 16 inches in diameter! They are either 8 ohms or 16 ohms. These drivers also come in 2 variations: either bolt-on or screw-in. The screw-in version (PSD:2013S) has a 1-3/8" diameter 18 TPI thread and is compatible with many types of HF horns. I used 4 of the PSD:2013S-8 (screw-in 8 ohms) to replace the JBL 2408H HF drivers in my JBL MRX 512M and MRX 515 cabinets. They are a remarkable improvement over the 2408H drivers. They add about 2 lbs to the weight of the cab and you have to be careful when threading them into the plastic horns. Use Teflon (PTFE) tape around the driver threads to help prevent cross-threading the horn. The 2013 has a broader frequency response and definitely brightens up the sounds of my JBL cabs.
