Comments about Eminence Legend BP102 10 Inch 200W Bass Speaker:

I used these speakers to replace the OEM speakers in a vintage Kustom bass amp. They are awesome, great quality, and sound amazing. I couldn't be happier with them.

Great speakers if you like to go low

    By Jerry McDougal

Comments about Eminence Legend BP102 10 Inch 200W Bass Speaker:

Plenty of low end with these puppies. Replaced the stock speakers in my Genz Benz 410T XB cab. MAJOR improvement across the board. A bit less mids than the stock speakers, but nothing that can't be compensated for with a little EQ. Speakers come with front and rear mount gasket rings, so you can install them either way depending on your cab. They look great, sound great, and are a great deal. I play either a Thunderbird 4 string with Chromes or a 5 string ESP J1005 with EMG's and Cobalts through my effects board, and into a Gallien Krueger 700RB with a 700RBII preamp into the Genz Benz 410T XB with these speakers. I'm very happy with my purchase.

Solid Performer At An Unbeatable Price:

    By richard harbaugh

Comments about Eminence Legend BP102 10 Inch 200W Bass Speaker:

I recently purchased a used Epifani PS-410 bass cabinet for a great price but it had some speaker issues. I changed out all 4 drivers for new Eminence Legend BP102-8 and could not be more pleased. I was looking to get the most bottom end I could as most ten inch speakers don't get very low. The frequency rating for the BP102 is stated from the company as being between 40Hz-2.0kHz. This is definitely a woofer so if your cab doesn't have a horn or you're looking for more high end this may not be the ideal driver for you. However, when mounted into my Epifani cab, even with the horn off, these speakers stay crystal clean but can really get your sound down into the sub-basement realm. Rated at a respectable 200 watts rms, priced well below $100.00 and in the 8+ pound range the Eminence BP102 is ideal for your 4x10 bass cab. Powerful, light weight, superb tone and a price that is hard to beat makes the Eminence BP102 a tremendous value.

Comments about Eminence Legend BP102 10 Inch 200W Bass Speaker:

This speaker really works. I used this speaker as a replacement speaker for my AMPEG BA-210sp. I can honestly say that this speaker is 100 time better than the old stock ones. And a word of advise, this speaker sounds alot better with more than one, so it would be smart to buy 2 or more.

    Unusual Application

    By Big Joe

    from Tacoma, WA

Comments about Eminence Legend BP102 10 Inch 200W Bass Speaker:

I installed this speaker in the rear deck of a 2003 q45 adjacent to a Celestion g12k-100 guitar speaker. Both speakers are driven by a JL Audio 300-4/v2 300 watt amplifier. This is an unusaul application for this speaker, I know. But think about it, if you go out to a bar to listen to live music, what are you really listening to? You are listening to the speakers in the amplifier cabinets, right? If you enjoy that sound, then the best way to recreate it is with the right speakers. The front channel of the JL amp is set up to delver 75 watts to the Celestion speaker while the rear channel is bridged to deliver 150 watts to the Emminence BP102 with the low pass filter set to 1000Hz. My headunit is a JVC. This system sounds great and I use it to listen to everything from Rage Against the Machine to David Benoit. The Eminence provides outstanding bass response, much better than the poytpropelyne subwoofer I had previously installed in a sealed enclosure in the trunk. I found that the poly subwoofer was 'thumpy' in sound quality and was fatiguing to listen to for long periods. The Eminence provides a bass response that reverberates and I can listen to it all day long at elevated volumes and not become tired. The paper cone provides a 'warmer' tone than the poly does. I would highly recommend this speaker for auto installations, provided you have the power to drive it and the room to mount it.
