Both Eminence speakers included in this kit are well known for their abundant low-end response, headroom, and fullness. The Swamp Thang speaker provides deeper lows, sustain, warmth, and a thick chunk to the mix. The Texas Heat speaker provides an interesting contrast in the lows and lower mids, adding tightness and punch. It also contributes crisp, cutting mids and nice top end bite and clarity without adding any harshness or ear piercing highs. Bass with clarity and clean headroom are the keys to this mix. Feel free to add distortion as you see fit. Each replacement speaker is 16 ohms.

    I researched guitar speakers for a long time before deciding on this set. Eminence has a fantastic utility on their website to help you choose the right speaker for your desired sound. After deciding on the Texas Heat, I came across this set at Guitar Center.com and did a bit more research. The description online convinced me to order and I could not be more pleased. I loaded these speakers into a slant 4X12 cabinet I built 20 years ago and I was knocked out. After firing up my rig and working them out for a bit, I walked out of my studio and my wife asked how they sounded. My first response was "Like a sledgehammer". I've been playing a long time and always looking for more bottom end. Well... I've found it - and it's great!

  • Kick butt set!!!

    I purchased this set based off all the things I've read about them. I have a 350 watt head n my cabinets speakers where not powerful enough to push it. So I got these and the difference is night n day. 150 watts a piece for a total of 600 watts is insane n more than I need but I love it. I play in a horror punk band and these speakers suit my sound just fine. I expected them to be good but not this good. Great upgrade n money well spent. I believe I will use these for years to come. So if you're thinking about new speakers with a lot of power I say this Is the way to go.

  • Huge bottom end!

    I recently picked up this kit to bring back an old 20yo 4 by 12 cab.Once they were broken in,all I can say about the sound is "WOW".I was a lil bit worried about buying speakers without jamming through them first,but this is the best upgrade in my gear I have ever made.I play nothing close to metal,(not palm mute happy).I play a mix between Clutch,Kyuss,and Tool.These speakers shake the ground with bottom end.The first time I jammed through them, pictures fell off walls and stuff vibrated off shelves.These speakers give me the filthy dirty heavy bluesy sound I was hoping for.For the kind of music I jam,I could not be happier.
