Overview

The Guitar Lab DVD series employs a hands-on approach that allows students to play their way through the curriculum, rather than struggle through tedious theory and exercises. Features PIP (picture-in-picture) video, standard notation, guitar tab, power tab files, practice rhythm tracks, and bonus material.

Top educator Rich Maloof presents 50 acoustic licks covering a broad range of crucial acoustic techniques you must know. While a single-note line (a lick) is certainly fair game here, the bread-and-butter of acoustic playing is covered in 50 lessons that demonstrate: fingerpicking patterns, open-string voicings, changes with bass lines, alternate tunings, Brit-pop strums, left-hand mutes, double-stops, funk patterns, alternating bass, movable chord-shapes, advanced voicings with open strings, barre chords concepts, Travis-picking, descending bass lines, hammer-ons and pull-offs, alternate chord voicings, harmonics, and many of the techniques that define the styles of the acoustic masters.

Add these 50 licks to your acoustic arsenal and you'll have the insight and chops to deliver the perfect mood and texture for any tune, from acoustic power-chords to delicate fingerstyle work.

Guitar Lab's innovative learning systems employ a hands-on approach where students play their way through the curriculum using learning tools such as PIP video, practice rhythm tracks, and interactive tab and notation, which allows the student to play along with the tab and notation, at any tempo, without a change in pitch.

Features Special features:
  • Picture-in-picture video instruction
  • Guitar tab and notation
  • Power tab
  • Practice rhythm tracks

Very Disappointed

Comments about eMedia 50 Acoustic Guitar Licks You Must Know! (DVD):

eMedia 50 Acoustic Guitar Licks You Must Know! (DVD) has been very disappointing. The FREE Guitar Lab's innovative learning systems costs $19.00 from their website. Download for only $9.08 after jumping through hoops. The DVD only plays with their DVD player included in the FREE ($9.08) Learning system. I assume the advertised Features PIP (picture-in-picture) video, standard notation, guitar tab, power tab files, practice rhythm tracks, and bonus material are also available AFTER PAYING ($9.08) for the download, but they are NOT included on the DVD itself. Never watched the DVD, good luck with this one.

Comments about eMedia 50 Acoustic Guitar Licks You Must Know! (DVD):

This is a great dvd if you feel like you have been playing the same old riffs over and over. Alot of cool techniques and tricks. The instructor is also very cool he'll even break each riff down for you step by step. A must buy if you want to expand your lick and riff library. The only down side is he only plays the riffs through twice so you'll have to set the dvd player to repeat the chapters.
