The engineers at Elixir took their original Polyweb coating and shrunk it down to Nanoweb size. The result? Brighter-sounding electric guitar strings that last 3 to 5 times longer than regular strings.
In addition to an ultrathin grunge-resistant tubular coating on the wound strings, Nanowebs now have a revolutionary Anti-Rust plating on the plain strings to extend their life too.
Elixirs are the first major innovation in guitar strings in over forty years, and they deliver what they promise: great tone and long life no matter what you put them on or how often you play.

These are the best electric guitar strings I've ever used. Even with the lighter Nanoweb coating, these strings always feel slick and smooth to the touch while playing. The strings offer a lot of comfortability when you need to play some fast riffs...they simply do not impede your fingers in any way, which is important. THESE STRINGS LAST YEARS! The only reason I've ever had to replace these strings on my 2002 Les Paul Classic is when I break a string. Otherwise, I could keep the same set of strings on for years and years. THEY ALWAYS SOUND FRESH! Cheaper brands of strings I've used in the past before discovering the Elixir brand almost always tended to rust within an hour or two. These strings NEVER RUST whatsoever. Because I've loved these strings so much, I really haven't been willing to try any other brands of strings. Within the last few years, I've mainly sworn by Elixir brand strings FOR ALL MY GUITARS. ELIXIR ACOUSTIC STRINGS ARE ALSO PHENOMENAL! By the way, I use 9 gauge electric strings and 11 gauge acoustic strings, all in the Nanoweb coating. I highly recommend Elixir strings to anyone and everyone! Well worth the money!
I'm a "Perfectionist To A Fault", and after stringing up my 1978 Ibanez Acoustic (Martin Copy) with the Elixer Acoustic Polyweb 10's, to give my 14 year old Daughter lessons, I was so impressed at the Excellent Tone, and Easy Of Playing, I had to give these strings a shot on my Fender Stratocaster. I'm Glad I Did! Tone Quality is Excellent! Ease of Fingering is Excelent! Vibrato, Strong Lead Riffs, Bends and Tapping, Slamming Chords, You Name It....These Strings Just Kept Coming Back For More! I found myself on a mission to get them to go out of tune! It took a fair amount of effort to do that, and it was only minimal! I should add, I set my Strat up nicely, and I did install these strings correctly, including stretching them out like you should do with any new string installation. If You Spend The Few Extra Dollars For These Strings, You'll Be Glad You Did!
Prior to picking up a set of these strings for my Schecter Omen 6, I had tried D'Addario, and Ernie Ball, and both are fairly comparible. With the amount of playing that I do, I either break a string in a week, or they lose their tone from oxidization from my finger sweat or the moisture in the air and I have to change strings anyway. Not anymore! These Elixirs last SO MUCH longer than any other strings! They feel and sound amazing and I couldn't imagine going back to any other brand. Yes, they are twice as expensive, but they last more than twice as long. Pick some up and see for yourself. You will be happy that you did.
Feel good, stay in tune, last long
These guitar strings are amazing. I used to use Ernie Balls and they didn't last very long but I've had a set of these on for months and they still look brand new! The G, B, and E strings really keep there coating and it doesn't take long to break them in. You might think they would break easily because they are super light but these strings are so well made I'm not afraid of breaking them AT ALL!This is my brand for life!
Before, I was using some regular Fender 9-42 strings until one day I decided to see what the deal was with the Nano-web thing... Man I was AMAZED how long the string lasted! and the tone is great as well!! Never changing to other strings. TIP: If you want them to last forever (by forever I mean a LONG time) clean the just as regular strings. Try them out you won't be disapointed.
These strings are all they are said to be and more. Believe it or not I have had these strings on for 7 months and the E string just recently broke during a bend. None of the strings were rusty it was just a fluke.
I bought these strings after i broke my G string. I had them for 4 months exact and they're still strong. I would still recommend to clean them even though their in good condition so you don't have to keep changing strings. I use a easy method, just get two Q-tips, dip it in alcohol, and then rub the top and bottom of the strings.
