Overview

Strum confidently with the same premium acoustic guitar strings that experienced players worldwide trust to keep their incredible tone longer than any other string available.

Unlike other string brands, Elixir Strings coats the whole string. This protects not only the outer string surface but also the gaps between the windings where common tone-deadening gunk typically builds up in other brands’ coated and uncoated guitar strings. Anti-Rust Plating on plain steel strings ensures longer tone life for the entire set.

Who wouldn’t love more quality playing time between the hassle and cost of string changes?

Engineered to endure, these acoustic strings constructed with phosphor bronze wrap wire boast a dynamic balance of rich, full-bodied tone and sparkling high-end clarity. Compared to our original POLYWEB Coating, the ultra-thin NANOWEB coating allows a more traditionally textured, “uncoated” feel.

For a slicker, gentler feel, try a set of strings with their original POLYWEB Coating. The 80/20 Bronze Acoustic Guitar Strings with POLYWEB Coating, for example, might be a good fit if you want a more robust and rounded tone. On the other end of the tone spectrum, Elixir's 80/20 Bronze Acoustic Guitar Strings with NANOWEB Coating deliver a brighter, crisper tone alongside the same traditional feel as these phosphor bronze strings.

Of course, the kind of string you play is all a matter of personal preference. Not sure what tone or feel is right for you? Try them out for yourself, and find your new favorite string from Elixir Strings. Jam on and on (and on) with the same premium electric bass guitar strings that experienced players worldwide trust to keep their incredible tone longer than any other string available.

Specially developed based on in-depth feedback from more than a thousand bass players just like you, Elixir Strings' tailor-made selection of bass strings proudly includes nickel-plated and stainless steel construction options, four-, five- and six-string sets, long and extra-long scales, and virtually every gauge range you could possibly need. All with their innovative string coating technology. And unlike other string brands, Elixir Strings coats the whole string. This protects not only the outer string surface but also the gaps between the windings where common tone-deadening gunk typically builds up in other brands’ coated and uncoated guitar strings.

Who wouldn’t love more quality playing time between the hassle and cost of string changes?

Premium by design, these electric bass guitar strings constructed with nickel-plated steel wrap wire boast a rich, rounded tone with incredible clarity and a heavy mid-range presence. Meanwhile, the ultra-thin NANOWEB Coating, redesigned specifically for bass guitars, allows a smooth, natural feel that also enhances grip and reduces finger squeak.

For a brighter bass tone, try our Stainless Steel Bass Strings with NANOWEB Coating.

Of course, the kind of string you play is all a matter of personal preference. Not sure what tone is right for you? Try them out for yourself, and find your new favorite string from Elixir Strings.

Comments about Elixir Nanoweb Extra Light Phosphor Bronze Acoustic Guitar Strings:

I was experimenting with strings for my new Taylor 416CE. They came with 12mm, which is way too heavy for my style, tried Martin 11mm 80/20 Bronze, which was better, but just not right. Too bright/tinny. When I put these 10mm, with the coating on them, WOW!!!! Perfect!! If you go up and down the neck, you will love these. They are so smooth. Perfect fit for the Taylor, which can be a bit tinny sounding.

Comments about Elixir Nanoweb Extra Light Phosphor Bronze Acoustic Guitar Strings:

I recently tried the silk & steel Martin custom acoustic strings. After giving them almost 10 days I couldn't handle the finger squeak they caused and went back to the Elixir phosphor bronze nanoweb ultra lights on my Yamaha FGX720SC. The Martin strings sounded good but I really like the Elixirs a lot more. Also use Elixir strings on my Stratocaster. Great string, give them a try.

Comments about Elixir Nanoweb Extra Light Phosphor Bronze Acoustic Guitar Strings:

I used to use Ernie Ball strings religiously. A friend recommended these about a year ago and they're all I've used since then. The clarity is perfect for what I want: crisp midrange, mellow lows, and clear but not in-your-face-bright highs. They're coated, so that's a plus also. The real kicker is how long they last. I play 3-5 hours a week and leave my guitar on a stand when not in use and these things last me roughly 2 months.

I got these in the custom light gauge and decided to try the extra lights. I use these on my Yamaha FGX720SCA Acoustic/Electric and they sound great. Highly recommend, Very little squeak when sliding fingers.

          Awesome Strings

          By Joshua

          from AL

Comments about Elixir Nanoweb Extra Light Phosphor Bronze Acoustic Guitar Strings:

I had heard good things about these strings so I had high expectations when I got them, but I'm still impressed with them. I have been using Martin strings (which sound great, don't get me wrong) but they start to wear out way faster than these strings do. Maybe it's because I have sweaty hands, but the Martin strings will start to look a bit discolored after as little as a day if I'm playing a lot. I have been playing a fair amount on these for a few days now and they still look like (and sound like) I just put them on. Very vibrant sound. I've noticed the sound of my fingers moving up and down the strings seems to be quieter as well, the strings almost feel smoother if that's something you're looking for.

Peanut butter and Jelly, eggs and ham, Elixir strings and Taylor guitars what could be better? Great strings and other fine products such as guitar cables, too!

          Great Strings

          By Mack Lester

          from Los Angeles, Ca

Comments about Elixir Nanoweb Extra Light Phosphor Bronze Acoustic Guitar Strings:

They feel awesome out of the box with very little string noise. They do have a wax-like coating but its not unfavorable. I like it, it makes sliding less difficult and the sound is impeccable. I would say that the whole set of strings can last you a month of playing everyday for a few hours a day, longer if you dont play as much. Just wipe down the strings after every session (I use an patch of an old t-shirt). Great strings worth the money for strings that you want on your guitar for awhile. Crisp and full, after about a month of everyday playing you can change the high e string and b string and you can easily get another month out of the strings! (the high e and b strings arent coated but thats good)

          Great Strings !!!

          By Tripp

          from Crossville, TN

Comments about Elixir Nanoweb Extra Light Phosphor Bronze Acoustic Guitar Strings:

I play an Epiphone Masterbilt DR-500 now...I have had several other guitars & plenty of "cheap" guitars to carry with me, I like to have a guitar with me at all times, they get tossed around a lot in my vehicle, exposed to cold/heat conditions....I switched to these strings a long time ago and have never looked at any other strings since. They play great and hold their tone very well...don't worry about the price, worry about the sound & wear when you buy strings...they've made my cheap guitars sound like more expensive ones...excellent sound & quality !!!! ...money well spent !!!

Comments about Elixir Nanoweb Extra Light Phosphor Bronze Acoustic Guitar Strings:

elixir's are my absolute favorite strings. they are expensive, but they rarely need changed. They play like they are brand new strings until the end of their life and can make an ok guitar sound much fuller. And last and certainly not least they are very easy on the fingers.
