Elixirs are the first major innovation in strings in over forty years, and they deliver what they promise: great tone and long life no matter what you put them on or how often you play. Nanoweb coating permits strings with the feel, bright tone, and punch of traditional strings.
Elixir Acoustic Guitar Strings are covered with an ultra-thin, space-age polymer tube that contacts the string on the tops of the windings only. This leaves the all-important winding-to-winding-to-core space free from the fear of the enemies of tone!
Most players report that Elixir Strings keep sounding great 3 to five times longer than ordinary strings.

I am only a hobby guitar player, im mainly a percussionist. I bought a Johnson guitar for 50 dollars from a friend who doesn't really play guitar. It was a decent sounding guitar for what is was. I recently snapped the high e string so I thought maybe it was time to replace the stock strings. I looked into these and the reviews were promising so I made the purchase. They were on backorder, that I did not realize at the time of the purchase but I actually received them quicker than I had expected. I put them on my guitar, and I probably wrap my strings around the pegs more than necessary but they took the tension very well. After the guitar adjusted to the new change they sounded very nice. Great depth, tone, clarity, and projection, plus they look great and im sure they will last very long. They made my cheap guitar sound amazing. I had brought my guitar into school before and played and after I put the new strings on it and I brought it in again and started to play. My band director said "wow your guitar sounds really good", not even knowing I had changed the strings. Do not hesitate, just buy these strings.
After the first week they are still amazingly bright. And I play the heck out of this new Taylor 714 I just got. Nicest, cleanest sounding strings out of the package that I have ever heard.
I have used these Elixir strings for over 2 years now...first on my Yamaha FD01S and now on my Fender T-Bucket. There are no other strings like it. The coating works great with my sweaty fingers and the sound is like no other. I have a friend that uses these on his Takamine G-Series and he loves these strings as well. I would've never thought to try these strings until a GC employee recommended them and I've been convinced ever since. They do cost more than your average set of strings but lasts a lot longer. And I personally think it's a chore whenever I have to change out my guitar strings...so these strings equal less work for me too. These Elixirs are the best strings out there!
Elixir strings are the best strings I have ever played. They last 3 times as long as other strings and hold their tone longer too.
I've tried different strings on my Taylor Guitars. I always come back to Elixir strings. In particular, these light-mediums are just right on my 410CE. The mediums always seemed a bit heavy for me . I tried the lights, but lost the deep sound. These light-mediums are just right. They provide the bass sound I lost in the lights, but offer a little easier playability.
