  • easy on your fingers and fretts!

    at the start of my playing, i was addicted to blue steels for my american standard strat. once i went out on a limb and tried elixirs, i will never go back. i am blessed to know several gigging musicians, the most respected of whom gave me this advice..."try elixirs, blue steels have great tone but eat your fretts fast." then he showed me his example. as a player who's son plays as well, i want my fender strat to stay as well kept as possible. that way, he it becomes his, it may well still be pristine. Elixir polycoates feel great, sound great, and in my opinion, do less damage to your axe!

    You will not find a better quality Guitar string Set. I have worked at a music store for many years and had lived in Alaska for 3 years. I bought Elixir Polywebs for my main guitar while in alaska they stayed on that guitar for the whole 3 years when I came back to Chicago went to a music store and couldn't find Elixir's and was thinking I need new strings, so I bought D'Addario XL120 big mistake my old strings still sounded better than the D'Addario's even after 3 years! So I ordered them since guitar center did not have the 9-42's in stock and have never looked elsewhere. I have been a big Ernie Ball Super Slinkies, Fender, George L's and Dimarzio string fan for years before these came out and would have to change my strings every 2-3 months. Now I will only buy another brand in emergency until I can get my hands on a set of Elixir's! Hope this helps

    this strings are softer and can be bended more easyly. the result is that you can play faster,, i noticed while playing a fast solo tht iuse to play in one of my songs. but the only problem, at least for me, are the armonics of the second and third strings, sounds a little diferent and weak than regular strings, but i don't complain for that..
