Clear, bright tone and easy playing with enough tension to get the most out of your flattop.

Gauges 12-16-24-32-42-53.

Elixir Polyweb Acoustic Guitar Strings are the first major innovation in strings in over forty years, and deliver what they promise: great tone and long life no matter what you put them on or how often you play.

Elixir Strings are covered with an ultrathin, space-age polymer tube that contacts the string on the tops of the windings only. This leaves the all-important winding-to-winding-to-core space free from the fear of the enemies of tone!

Most players report that Elixir Strings keep sounding great 3 to 5 times longer than ordinary strings.

Elixir Polyweb Acoustic Light Strings Features:

  • Gauges: 12-16-24-32-42-53

  • Clangy

As reviewed by Kyle on 7/26/2010

The coating on the strings helps playability but when playing with a slide the coating interrupts the connection the strings have with the slide. The slide sounds very clangy and is very unforgiving. If you play with a slide get uncoated strings. The strings aren't bad beyond that.

  • Tough as nails and keep their mojo

As reviewed by Martin Zyla on 6/20/2011

I've used these for many years now with a performing schedule that usually goes 6 days a week and they last and last, almost never break a single string in the span of months. I eventually have to switch them out at some point but I've even done as little as switch out the B and high E and still carried on.

  • Just OK

As reviewed by Blake on 4/25/2011

I went to guitar center yesterday to buy some new strings. I had been using extra light elixir nanoweb's in the past and when I found out they didn't have any nanoweb's left I took these thinking I could expect the same great elixir quality.. I put them on and they really didn't sound like new strings to me, usually when I put a fresh pair of elixirs on I know that they're new because I get that nice bright tone but these just sounded like regular old strings to me. There's nothing to special about these strings, but there is nothing to bad about them. They feel nice but I just dont get that same tone as you would get from the nanowebs. If you have the option, I'd stick to the nanowebs especially because these strings aren't the cheapest.
