  • These strings are excellent.

As reviewed by himtnman on 4/17/2007

I use these strings on my Taylor 6 Stings and they have out performed any other string sets I've used for top sound quality, hopefully this is what you we're all striving for. I have never had a problem with any of the wound strings unraveling. A little pricy though, but in this dept. I think you get what you pay for.

  • G String Blues

As reviewed by lilredhenblues on 3/30/2007

These strings sound great! They ring and vibrate and hold their tone for an exceptionally long time. All 5 of them. The "G" string holds its tone but not its form. I play fingerstyle blues guitar and medium gauge strings are my preferance.I never use a slide outside of my own finger, and of course with blues, like to hammer and bend. The "G" string pops and unfurls near the bridge within a couple of weeks. I've had the same fait with my Gibsons 185 and Dove Artist, and my Martin HD-28. My fix for this problem has been to use a "G" string from a different manufacturer. The problem of poppin "G" never happens. Kind of a hassle but well worth it to take advantage of the long lasting Elixir tone.

  • Doesn't Get Better..

As reviewed by Shaunt on 9/12/2009

I was over at a friends house a few years ago and he let me use a new set of these strings on my yamaha..I will never go back to any other string..the quality, playability, and feel of these strings are the best i've ever played on, not to mention how smooth they are..It's well worth the money!
