  • The only strings you buy again!

    My wife's cousin who plays professionally turned me on to the Elixer strings a couple of years ago. They are all I buy now! These strings have excellent playing properties. They will bend with the best of them and the tonal quality is second to none. They are not "Tinny" sounding but have a full rich colorful tone. That's not the best part. I used to change my strings every 2 - 3 weeks. I get 2 - 3 months out of these! Keep them clean and they'll sound just as great 3 months after you've put them on. I have a set on my acoustic that been on for over a year! The tone is still great, no rust and excellent sustain! Try them - you'll be a believer!

  • For me, better than the average string.

    I have a Taylor T-5 S1 Custom with three hummers. My original strings were Ernie Customs and they died quickly and the acoustic/unaltered tone was not acceptable. I switched to the Elixirs and got easier playability, better acoustic sound and good amplified unaltered tone electrically. They are a bit "loose" on the board, but I had no problems with keeping tune or tone for the long-run. I play my strings a little less "bright" than most and found these strings to last 2-3 times longer and keep their sound well. In addition, they seemed to be easier on the fingers when playing long sets.

    Okay, I have been playing for close to 18 years. I have used various different strings and these by far, hands down are the best. The tone and feel that these strings offer is truly unbeatable. The poly coating on the strings makes sliding up and down your board extremely easy. The day I found these strings is the day that all other string manufacturers went out of business in my mind. I will never use any other brand of strings. Elixir's all the way.
