I've used these for many years now with a performing schedule that usually goes 6 days a week and they last and last, almost never break a single string in the span of months. I eventually have to switch them out at some point but I've even done as little as switch out the B and high E and still carried on.
I have been using these strings on my acoustic guitars ever since I first (skeptically) tried a (seemingly over-priced) set. It's been over 10 years. They're all I use. I buy them for friends who've never used them before as gifts. They always comment on how good they sound. Nuff said.
I used these strings for about a year or so, and restrung my Epiphone PR-150N/A once after hearing that coated strings lasted so much longer than standard strings. They sounded just as bright and responsive as the D'Addario Phosphor Bronze Custom Lights I had previously used, but after a few months the coating flaked off and the strings discolored significantly. Overall I would have to recommend Cleartones for acoustic coated strings.
