These things put out some light. I use them with a Chauvet lighting controler, and get some extra features that way. by themselves on a single switch they are amazing. I have people from 13 to 65 or so telling me how much they loiked the light show combined with the music. Any obile DJ would do good to get a set. Great adition to the moonflowers and stobes. Now the main set of lights, and won't break the bank.
I thought it was a great deal to begin with, I'm an up and coming mobile dj and they proved its worth at several gigs already! I can tell you there were no kids there either, so the adults present really enjoyed it! They are surprisingly bright and I did indoor and outdoor events with them. The features are a plus and that makes it such a good investment!
These lights activate by sound. On the back there is a knob that controls how they respond to sound (a lot of sound or very little sound). When used with a light controller they are very fun and add an extra element to whatever you are doing. The only bad thing is that they seem better used with little kids rather than big kids, these are defiantly "little kid" lights. I give this product 4 stars. pro- illuminates very well! You wont be disappointed with how bright it is. It has a motor that moves quick and makes the lights very fun con- heavy, you defiantly need to make sure this thing is bolted to the ceiling or somewhere secure, it IS safe when on the ground though. HOT- don't let the little kids touch it. It's not dangerous but at the same time you wouldn't want little kids hands all over it. loud- it's actually surprisingly noisy. If you have music on you won't notice but if it is quite and the lights are spinning around you can definably hear it. I use this product at church in the Childrens Ministry and I am happy using this product, it is a definite plus whenever you using it around kids!
My school uses these, they're quite brutal. i use 4 along with 4 par cans and the kids love it.
