Good Live Mic!

We use 3 of the EV N/D767a's for our band. These are good vocal mics, rugged, with a good overall sound. Vocals are crisp, not muddy, with good tone and clarity. They've held up well with lots of use. They're not great for recording, but for a live band they sound great! A nice mic for the rpice.

Blows other dyn mics "outta the water!\

I have heard this mic back to back with all its competetrs, sm58, om2, om5, beta 58. this thing sounds awesome. I think its true strengeth is its low range response. also its great for people with the bad habbit of cupping the reciever(big no no in the sound department) it is designed too have that done without changing the sound. handling noise is low, what you would expect from a live mic and feedback is as with most others a non issue. EV is a astoundingly awesome audio company and i have liked every prouduct manufactured by them I have ever used. For the price, I feel this is the best live Dynamic mic available. Oh and its waterproof, wich just plain rocks.

EV N/D 767a microphone

My drummer brought this mic to practice the other night and "blew my mic out of the water!" What a thrill to be able to hear myself with such force and clarity. I'll be buying one this week for our upcoming gig.

Nice Vocal mic

I have used this mic live a few times now and it sounds pretty good. The windscreen shape and design helps filter out p's and b's without needing an external pop filter. It has a nice natural sound and is a good general purpose live mic.

Unbelievable

I have used SM58's for as long as I can remember. I have tried many other mics and always came back to the SM58. I've been reading reviews on mic's and they all talked about the 58 sounding muddy. After listening to home recordings and in front of my system I started noticing some less than crisp sounds. I read many reviews on several mics and the EV N/D767a seemed to be a good choice for the price range and decided to try one. All I can say is WOW! "unbelievable difference" The EV 767 is Sooooo! clear and crisp throughout the entire range of "my" vocals. I did not realize how much of my vocal was lost with the SM58. I play through a Bose L1 system that accentuates what is put in and the sound is absolutely great. The 58 is now the backup mic. The 767 is much hotter and I had to turn down the gain by 25% for the same volume. I wish I had found this mic years ago.
