this is one of those classic pedals that will never be replaced. sounds good and can fit into so many styles. get it.
I used to trust EHX with all guitar effects that touched my pedalboard, and having played through the glory of the vintage ones, I feel it necessary to say that almost all reissues and variants on the old ones are far below par, the Bigmuff line being the worst. The sound of this pedal isn't the fuzz you expect to get, it's a roaring and undefined mess and has a terible tone at lower gain settings. I guess these would be fine for some nu metal band rhythm guitarist, but thats about it, no definition in the pedal at all, it is a mess. My advice is either go look at the ZVex pedals or Google BYOC Large Beavers, much more satisfying.
